over to her office. I make my way to Mrs. Bransfer’s office at a slow pace and I seen my colleagues smiling, which was both normal and odd. I sat down in a short chair that was colored

brown and it was cushioned to make sure that whoever was sitting in it was comfortable. She smiled and proceeded to speak.

“ I am sorry about your house being robbed the night before last, but you shouldn’t be overworking, especially right now. I have caught you pulling a lot of all nighters recently and I concerned about your health, as your boss and a friend. I know yesterday must of have been very rough for you, especially it being the first year but you can’t give up. I knew your mom, Lilly personally and she was just like you stubborn and very hardworking .I see her a lot in you I even had the honor of working beside her and the way she passed was tragic and even your sister, Rin. I did not get the honor of working beside her like I did you and your mom, but every time she came here she lit up the room she was a nice young lady and I know you two were very close. I would like you to take the next few months off and take your time to figure out some things, I already know about your current situation so I do not expect you to come in for awhile.” Mrs. Bransfer stated, as she was very concerned.

“ Thank you for being a good boss and friend,I will consider your offer and decide by the end of the day, but even if you want me to go on vacation I have to finish my current job on the Andersons case.” I said this I got up and reached over for a handshake.

“Thank you for the pep talk and I hope the rest of your day will go out as planned” I said as I made my way out the door.

I walked down the aisle of desks till I stopped at mine as I sat down I saw Eli walking over, definitely planning on talking to me as he straightened up his tie. He stopped directly in front of my desk and began speaking.

“ So did you get fired?” Eli asked with a smile on his face.

“ No, I did not get fired, I was offered a vacation” I said while not looking up from my computer screen.

“ No fair, Everyone has been asking for a vacation” Eli said with a sense of jealousy.

“I have to decide by the end of today, but even if I say yes I have to finish the Andersons case today.” I said still not looking up from my computer.

“ Tora I know you think this is a nuisance, but can I ask a favor?” Eli asked hoping I would answer.
