Somebody needs to sit down all these reapers and death gods and explain to them that scythes are crummy weapons. A scythe is a farm tool, so fighting with scythes is like fighting with shovels but more awkward. The blade of a scythe is sharpened on an inward curve, so it can only cut by drawing ones opponent closer to oneself, and that is the last thing you would want to do in melee combat. Please pass this along to every anime studio in Japan. /end of rant
