This Doodle sums up one particular instance when I went to get a haircut. I said "I'm just going to close my eyes so the hair doesn't go in them" as the barber was working on my fringe. I had my eyes closed for about 30 seconds when I had to open them! I couldn't keep them closed any longer!

To my surprise, I no longer had a fringe, I was now unable to even use gel or wax to fix this monstrous mess. I honestly do not have a clue what she did to my hair but it was an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions. I then had to get the rest of my hair cut to roughly the same length so that it did not look completely ridiculous!

WAIT THERE!!! This tale is far from over! Little did I know that more turmoil was in store...

So there I was, distraught, yet still wrongly trusting this hairdresser to do a good job. Eventually, she moved round to cut the sides of my hair and trim my sideburns. FOR SOME UNBELIEVABLE REASON!!! I thought, hey! You know what I'll close my eyes again (since the first time went so well??). I felt suddenly quite a bit of hair go. HOLD ON! This is not right! I open my eyes. My hair went from my ear to practically my temple. I had absolutely NO sideburn.

THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!?!?!?

She has quite literally removed my sideburn. I then had no option but to let her ruin my other sideburn but with my eyes open and a bit of direction that I gave her.

FINALLY, I left and for some reason did not complain, I did not refuse to pay or at least in part, nor did I let her know that it is beyond me how she managed to get hired! I PAID HER! But thankfully had it in me not to provide a tip.

Don't worry though. I've since found an amazing hairdresser and have stuck with her exclusively. Although it did take many, many different barbers and hairdressers before I found her. However, luckily for you, that means many more stories!!!
