It happened on a Thursday. The cool autumn breeze made the leaves fly and it was like they were whispering secrets. We were at the park: my dog and I. The church bell rang at three o'clock and that's when I saw her: her hair flying like in those shampoo ads and her hands shuffled in her hoodie pockets. It would have been one of those movie scenes in which two strangers meet for the very first time and fall in love in seconds. Needless to say that didn't happen. What happened, though, was my dog barking at her and scaring the life out of her. She even jumped! Also needless to say I simply mumbled an apology and got out of the park, embarrassed and scarred for life. If I knew my dog would ruin my chances of getting a date, I would've left him at home
