“The juniors sure are fun this year” I mutter to myself while continuing to sip on the chocolate latte I just ordered. It's well into the autumn already and it's begun getting colder by the day.
Should probably introduce myself. The name is May Blank. Yeah, I got bullied a lot in middle school for that surname. Not that it really mattered to me. Always been a loner. Not that I was friendless, just more that I was shy.
Liked to observe more than to partake, I guess. Had it fine with that.
You see.. blah blah this world isn't as it seems and so on.
Magic and monsters and all that exists. Kinda.
Not all people get bothered directly by the monsters, but those who do have their own measures to fight them. It's not like I have fancy magic to attack the monsters or anything.
I'm kinda like an informant to those who can. Not for free no, if I did that I wouldn't be able to sit here and sip coffee at a nice café I frequent.
Right now I'm just patiently waiting for my two new clients to arrive for a chat over a cup of coffee. hmm. maybe even a dessert if they ain’t too dumbfounded by the circumstances. As I sat there pondering to myself, I nearly jump from the hand now suddenly planted on my shoulder.
It didn’t feel threatening at all, no. I actually felt the warmth from the hand seep through my clothes and into my body like a soothing and friendly feeling. Hmm, desert it is. But nevertheless, I looked quite silly for an underground informant to just jump at such a thing.
“Eeeeek!” Oh dammit, I even let out such a silly sound…
I turn around to face the person who is already looking like he's about to apologize and go away in the belief that he got the wrong person.
“Oh! You must be Ethan am I correct?”
“Wait... so you are the informant? Are you playing a joke on me, Liz?”
He says to his friend that has been hiding behind his broad figure.
“No, I wouldn’t lie to you would I? Idiot... She is the informant”
“I assume you are the new clients? Sit down and we can talk over a cup of coffee”
“Err... Alright, I guess.”
The boy says as he sat down while the girl already was patiently waiting in her seat while trying to wave over a waiter.
