Ella and Aiyana stood by the car, they had been sharing and gaining information about the case with Mrs. Orwell. “The only thing that is shaking my brain is that Fabien is somehow involved with Vampires.”
“Well lucky for you young ladies, I know how to hack phone and Internet conversations. So let's go to my office and I can show you a few tricks I've got up my sleeve.”
“Well Nancy, there was a reason I liked you, and I'm starting to remember why.”
They sat around a round table in an office building taking up an old abandoned factory that the city never tore down. Aiyana typed in a series of symbols and characters on her laptop. Different pages were opening and closing on the screen. Finally they reached a thread of emails going back and forth from Fabien and what they assumed was a vampire named Zane.
Fabien1593: You have it, and we want it.
Zane_Vitality: Who says i have it, besides, what makes you think I would give it to demon scum?
Fabien1593: Maybe you want to know for sure that your next meal won't include dead man's blood you blood thirsty buffoon.
Zane_Vitality: Good riddance Fabien, good luck with your search, I hope you find what you are looking for… But let's be reasonable, you won't be successful.
Fabien1593: Watch out for a machete coming your way Zane. Mark my words, I will find it.
“What could Fabien want from a Vampire?” Ella looked confused, she couldn't wrap this around her brain.
“Could it be a weapon? Whatever it is, it's a big deal. And we have to get to it before he does.”
“Whadda ya think our next step should be kid?”
“We need to trace the place that the emails were sent and find the Vampires nesting grounds.”
“Then what, it's not like a vampire will just spill the beans about a diabolical scheme.”
“You've taught me more than you give yourself credit for Ella. Violence can be the occasional answer for our problems. Specifically… Torture.”
“Dead man's blood, you're not that bad kid. Well, work your magic.”
Aiyana smiled and started working the keys to the computer, entering long codes and passwords that looked almost alien oriented. “They're held up in the middle of the woods in Carolina, it's a bit of a drive, but we’ll get there in three days time if we take shifts and drive non stop.” She typed in a few more characters and a map popped up on the screen.
“That's all woods, there's nothing there.”
“Nothing on the surface…” She grinned in Ella's direction. “You can't see with they eye what's beneath the surface. But we have coordinates. All should go well.”
They were half way done with the first day of their road trip to the nesting grounds. “Shite! The tank is almost dry.”
Aiyana looked to the right, there was a green sign that read, Next Sip N’ Fill, 3.73 miles… Exit 17B.
“We can stop at that gas station and fill Ol’Pisser up, then we can grab some essentials while there.”
They drove down the highway a while longer, and took exit 17B. Aiyana reached for the tuner, and Ella smacked her hand away. “Driver picks the music…”
“Shotgun shuts their cake hole. Yeah, you've said it a dozen times.” As The Irish rovers blasted in the background.
“Than you're the true definition of a damn psychopath.”
“Yeah, guess so.” They laughed as they pulled into the parking lot. Aiyana walked into the building while Ella stood by the pump.
“Don't forget the Twinkies! Aiyana… Aiyana, don't forget the Twinkies…” Aiyana laughed as she walked inside.
She went over to the snacks area. She grabbed a box of Twinkies and a bag of chocolate. Aiyana was addicted to chocolate, specifically milk chocolate. Screw that healthy dark chocolate crap. She grabbed two energy drinks and walked up to the register. “Hi, fourty on seven, and two four two dollar scratch off tickets.”
“Here you go, sixty-three, seventy-nine.”
She handed the teenage boy the money. He gave her back the change. She was really lucky when it came to scratch off tickets, so she scratched them right there. She one two hundred on one, fifty on another, and the other two she one ten dollars. Told you she was lucky. The boy looked at the tickets and handed her two hundred seventy bucks.
She walked outside and got in Ol’Pisser smiling. “Why are you so happy?”
“I just made us two hundred and seventy bucks richer.”
“I knew you would be useful.” She smiled. “Where are my Twinkies?”
She sighed and handed her one as she ate a piece of chocolate. Delicious.
They parked Ol’Pisser in the woods and covered her with some bushes and branches. They each had a mini bottle of Vervain around their necks. They each had a jar of dead man's blood and a pocket knife along with a machete.
They squatted behind a tree by the entrance to the nest. “The emails suggest that there's seventeen. It's day time, so they should all be here.”
“Let's decapitate these sons of bitches.”
They stood by the entrance to the nest, and realized that the trap door was locked. Aiyana started to pick the lock while Ella kept guard, watching for any of the God forsaken blood thirsty bastards.
“Success.” She whispered. They climbed down the latter into what looked like a dungeon. The ceiling was covered with dust and Cobb web's. They walked silently down the hall.
“No, please… You don't want me. I… I taste like garlic… I had garlic bread for lunch… Please…” The pleading was followed by screams and tears.
They split up to cover more ground. Aiyana stepped into the room, “hey, blood mouth! Get a taste of this blood!” The vampire lunged towards her, she jumped back. He growled and swung at her. She ducked and kicked him off balance. She pulled him up and slammed him against the wall, machete raised. “What do you have that Fabien wants?”
He grinned and released a hideous laugh. “You'll never find it. Because you’re gonna die today.”
“I'm afraid you're mistaken.” She swung the machete and he slipped out of her grasp. She turned and jumped towards him. She swung the machete again, and his head flew ten feat.
Ella came up behind her, covered in blood, as was Aiyana after getting a few more. “I got seven.”
“I got nine, thats all of them.”
“Were missing one. There were seventeen.”
“I've got the nasty thing chained up. Time to interrogate.”
They walked confidently over to the chained vampire. He hissed and struggled against the chains. The victim sadly didn't make it. He must've lost too much blood.
The vampire laughed as Aiyana looked over to the dead man on the floor. Ella stormed over and punched him in the face. The vampire growled. “What's the matter, you like killing innocent people?”
Aiyana walked over, jar of dead man's blood and pocket knife in hand. “Here's how this is gonna work friend.” She dipped the blade in the blood, and held it to the Vampires bare chest. “Your gonna talk. You're gonna tell us everything we want to know.”
“Not a chance sweet cheeks.” She smiled, and laughed a little. She gave him a bitch face and pulled the knife covered in tainted blood across his stomach. “Aagghh… Bitch!”
“Do ya kiss your mother with that mouth? Cause you're in no position to push our buttons. Got it?”
“I'm gonna kill you two.” He hissed and fight the chains.
It had been two hours of torturing the vampire with no budge. “I have to admit, im not as patient as my friend here. And honesty,” she laughed at his mutilated chest and stomach dripping blood, the veins popping out of his neck. “She's been real nice to you. I'm not gonna go easy on you.” She took the blade from Aiyana and poured dead man's blood on it. “One more chance arse hole.” He spit on her. “That is a no no! I've tried to be nice.” She stabbed the knife into his side twice. He screamed and pulled at the chains.
“Oculus….”
She smiled. “Thanks for the help.” She swung the machete and his head fell to the floor.
