Qing Bo felt helpless. He saw the flash in Hu Cheng Se's eyes and understood what she wanted immediately. Qing Bo took the long wooden fish hook and squatted on the ground, looking attentively at the crystal clear water.
Hu Cheng Se observed him quietly.
All of a sudden, Qing Bo strongly threw the hook. It went straight into the fish’s body and stuck to the bottom of the river. He hoped from a stone to the other, arriving at the place where the hook was. Qing Bo was delighted because he got a very big fish, it was enough to fill two stomachs.
With a prideful smile, Qing Bo showed it to Hu Cheng Se. Unbeknown to him, Cheng Se was very amazed. Her eyes twinkling like stars and her mouth wide open with surprise. It was a funny sight to see. Her expression was like that of a fish.
"Pfft... Ahaha..." His right hand was still holding the hook upside down. The lower side of his left hand's palm, near the wrist, touched his forehead, he had a refreshing air around him.
Qing Bo couldn't help himself, he laughed.
Hu Cheng Se amusement over his way of dealing with the fish problem was over, but she still had an open her jaw.
Why? Certainly, it was because she, Hu Cheng Se, who was in the same class as Qing Bo for almost ten years had never once seen him smile in a happy and carefree way.
That grumpy, gloomy, sickly dark-faced Qing Young Master can laugh too?
"Fish stick, catch this!" Qing Bo's face was somewhat shiny. Although he didn't smile, he was in a really good mood.
"F-fish stick?" Cheng Se finally came back to her senses, you mean me?
"Is there anyone else around?" Qing Bo lightly chuckled. He placed his bent index finger on his lips. Qing Bo threw the fish he caught to the shore. Cheng Se picked it up and put it in a basket she prepared before. He shouted. "How many more do you need?"
Cheng Se counted in her head. "Catch four to five more fishes."
Qing Bo folded his black sleeves, revealing the fine white clothes that were made as an inner part of most of his robes. “Easy.” Qing Bo patiently waited on that same stone and nimbly hooked those fish.
-----
While Qing Bo and Hu Cheng Se were fishing, Qing Guang and Hu Ye were hunting.
A dangerous flash from the sharp tip of the arrow was seen. The arrow was cast to the sky, pointing at its prey.
Qing Guang concentrated pulled the strings on her black bow. She pinched her eyes and was about to release the bow when…
“Would you please stop trying to kill that poor eagle?” Hu Ye put his right hand on the black bow.
“...” Qing Guang’s black bow was still eying at the sky. “I am hungry.”
“I have some fruit.”
“I want meat.”
“...”
Hu Ye felt helpless. He thought that they would be able to catch a rabbit or two but no. Ever since they started hunting, they saw no rabbit inside the forest. “I wonder where the rabbits are..”
“That…”
Suddenly, Qing Guang’s eyes flashed. In an instant, she pointed her bow to Hu Ye. Hu Ye’s eyes widened when Qing Guang released her arrow. The arrow passed Hu Ye’s shoulder and hit a snake behind him.
“That, I don’t know.”
“...” Hu Ye was amazed by Qing Guang’s reflex. He was grateful because she saved him the second time today. The first was when they came to the forest the first time. Hu Ye was not ready when a snake was suddenly in front of him. “Thank you.”
“It is nothing.” Qing Guang replied. “It is a pity that snake’s meat is not my favorite type of meat. We caught a load of snakes since we came into this forest.”
“Yes.” Hu Ye added. “I hope Second Sister is successful in catching some fish for dinner.”
“Fish is delicious.” Qing Guang smiled slightly. “And they are fairly cheaper than other types of meat.”
“...” Hu Ye looked at Qing Guang’s expression and asked. “Guang, do you rarely eat meat at home or something? Why are you so obsessed with meat?”
“...” Qing Guang’s eyes widened a bit when Hu Ye asked her. She casted her look to the side to prevent Hu Ye from looking her in the eyes. “Let’s talk while we walk.”
Hu Ye looked at the sky that was getting darker and understood. “Okay, let’s go back.”
