So I'm just sitting here, thinking, while the TV plays in the background. And bam, I just started thinking about beautiful Ratatouille was. Just like that, now warning, no appointment, just happened. And yeah, it's like, really, this is your opening chapter. Yes, yes it is, so welcome. But if you think about it, not only is a cute kids movie, but it celebrates diversity and the possibility of everyone's dreams if you work for it. This rat, was separated from his family, moved in with a member of the "enemy", and then proceeded to cook for France's most esteemed food critic. And what did this critic decide when he learned that his food had been prepared by a rat? That he had been wrong and needed to be open to the new. Not, "Oh dear heavens, schedule me a doctors appointment, I probably have ten diseases at minimum." Nope, he chose to look on the optimist side. He chose to accept who they were, and how they lead there lives, and not only did he accept it, but he celebrated it. He lost his job and his credibility simply because people didn't like that he had decided to open his mind a little more. So moral of the chapter, even little things, like the movie Ratatouille, can show that the world isn't such a grim place after all. Besides who doesn't love the average Pixar movie about master chefs being rats.
