After a long awaited dinner, the head of the orphanage showed Elanor to her room. Of course, being a busy place full of children, She got a roommate. The child was sitting on a bed in the farthest corner from the door facing a window.
After hearing the door swing open, he turned around to face them. The boy looked to be around to be around twelve, exactly two years older than Elanor. He looked to have gotten into a fight earlier on, thanks to the fresh bruises on his face. "Good evening, Theo." The woman said. "This is Elanor, she'll be your new roommate." and without another word, the woman left the two alone.
Elanor, without hesitation, waved and smiled at the boy, then sat on the free bed and unpacked her stuff. "What do you think you're doing?" The boy asked, getting up and walking towards Elanor. Although it was more of a sprint. "Why are you in my room? No one stays in my room but me!" Oh my, Elanor thought. This would be a challenge. But in a rather calm manner she replied, "Well now I'm staying in your room, I hope we can be friends, Theo." Rather shocked at what Elanor said, he sat back down on his bed, not daring to say another word.
