My father wouldn’t be back for a couple hours, so it would be a good opportunity to look for the key.

I knew my father well enough to know that whenever he hides something, it would be in his bedroom. Most likely the key would be in there. I quickly ran to his bedroom and stopped myself once I got to his door. I've had only entered his room a handful of times, he rarely let me go in.

I opened his door slowly and began to look around. I turned on the light, but it was so dim. I could see the wind slowly blow the curtains by the open window. The room gave me chills. It seemed abandoned, the furniture was full of dust, the floor creaked with each step I took, and the lighting was a bit dim. I started to look around, but had no luck.
