The quiet rumble of the washing machine warmed the cool silence of the empty halls in the fresh flat. Distantly, the steady traffic whir of wandered through the open window into an untidy cream painted room. A collection of shirts, bags and boxes were littered across the fluffy carpet.

Hazel eyes with pale complexion and dark hair surveyed his new room as he waited for his video to buffer.

The room erupted with sudden series of explosions, striking against the door. Startled, the young man tore his eyes from the screen.

Silence.

Shrugging off the noise to the washing machine in its final spins, the young man reverted his eyes towards his phone.

Each blow pressed further into the wood, trying to push it from its hinges. The racket did not decease, did not slow but instead grew with insistence and impatience.

“What?!” Shouted the young man with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

Sighing bitterly, the young man rose from his mattress on the floor and closed the window with a snap.

The pounds continued angrily. A wave of confusion passed over his body as he stepped towards the glinting door handle. The bangs persisted violently. He pressed down on the door handle slowly. The roar raged louder. He pulled the door towards him.
