The one that had the gun and had shot at us was distracted by what the other one was doing. I couldn’t say that I could blame him as the other man had finished what he had been drawing and had begun to chant. As he chanted a black ominous cloud speckled with red glowing embers rose up from the complex circle he had drawn on the floor.
The revolting smell of sulfur and rotting flesh greeted the creature’s nose as a figure familiar to me began to manifest in side of the smoke cloud. It had the head of a goat with three red slit pupiled eyes, tan and white fur, two enormous curled ram’s horns and black beard. It had six withered and wrinkly breasts going down its front in two columns and four hairy arms. Each arm ended three-digit hand with fingers tipped with sickle-like black claws. It had multi-jointed legs that ended in cloven hooves and were covered in shield shaped, glossy, green scales. It had two enormous rotting bat wings sprouting from its back and a long reptilian tail covered in vicious looking spikes. A mane of barbed, white tipped black, porcupine like quills cascaded from its head and spilled downward to cover its shoulders and upper chest.
‘It’s hideous,’ the creature commented when it saw the demon.
‘Don’t I know it,’ I replied, bitterly. ‘That’s the one who did made my sister comatose in the first place.’
‘I see,’ It said, just before I felt it do something to its eyes.
Suddenly, everything I could see through its eyes had changed. All of the objects and living things inside of the church became lit from within by glowing, pulsing, wireframe of color. Each one was defined by a different color or combination of colors. There was even a slivery mist that defined the moon light that spilled through the holes in the roof and the broken windows of the church.
The only exception to this was the demon that had been summoned. Instead of being defined by a wireframe of color like everything else, it had writhing tendrils of oily darkness that sprung form a pulsated black orb in the middle of its chest. I felt utterly repulsed by the sight of the tendrils and the orb to the point that I felt unbearably filthy and unclean just by looking at them. They weren’t the only things inside of the demon though.
Entangled and entrapped by the oily tendrils were a pair of glowing orbs. One was a pale vibrant green and was imprisoned just under the right side of the demon’s ribcage. The other shown brown and gold and was stuck just inside of the demon’s left hip. There were also glittering threads the same color as the orbs connecting them to my unconscious sisters.
