Da-dum, da-dum, da-daaaa! Big reveal!
As some people already guessed, the reason why Masahiro hides his left arm in his sleeve is not to look stylish, but because he is actually missing his left hand. This is - and will be - important. (also, he is actually left-handed to begin with, which is why he carries his sword on his right side - it's how he used to do it, and he's so used to it that it's a difficult habit to break)
