For those who don't get it: Archimedes was told to figure out if the crown had silver in it. In the actual story, by bathing he discovered that if you have water and you put something in it, water is displaced. The amount of water displaced equals the volume of the crown. Using this, he calculated that the resulting density of the crown is lower than the density of normal gold which means that non-gold metals were used as well in the making of the crown. In this cartoon, the first part is the same. So, readers will automatically assume that the exclamation mark is because he has discovered how to solve the problem (EUREKA!) like in the story but it actually wasn't; it was because the water's too hot.
