I arrive at school around 10:30AM.

I saw Yuri standing near the entrance. She is wearing a red crop top paired with a ripped jeans, and of course a backpack.

Our eyes met.

I want to run to her to apologize about last night, but she seem to be... I don't know. She seem to have the same "blank aura" when I first time met her. I wanted to know what's on her mind, like what is she thinking? Is she mad? Is she happy? Is she sad?

I don't know anymore...

She's staring at me blankly and my heart is confused. 

"Good morning, Devlin" said by a sweet voice behind me

The voice is familiar, it's Karen.

"Hi... Good morning, too" I sounded shy. Honestly I don't know how to begin with her because I'm extremely ashamed of what happened yesterday.

"Karen I'm really sorry about last night, and I really don't know how to begin..." then I glance at the spot where Yuri is, but she's gone. 

"How about a lunch together?" she teasingly reply 

My eyes are searching Yuri. 

Where is she?

Did she saw me with Karen?

I don't know what is her deal with Karen. Are they enemies? Nah, I don't think Karen will have an enemy, she's too sweet and kind to be hated.

"Maybe later?" Karen added

So many things are running on my mind now. Where is she???

Yuri where did you go? 

"Devlin?" Karen called me.

"I am here." Said by a familiar voice behind me.

I feel a sudden excitement.

"Yuri! Where did you go? I saw you there then you disappear. I was looking for you" I said. 

"I will always come. You just have to call me." She coldly reply

"Ehem.. Devlin, I think it's already time and we have class at 11AM." Karen reminded me. 

Still looking at Yuri I said "We gotta go. I'll see you later?"

"Hi, my name is Karen." She stretch her hand to formally introduce her self to Yuri.

She really is so kind. I almost forgot introducing Yuri to Karen.

But...

But Yuri didn't even move leaving Karen waiting.

10 secs of awkward silence. 

"You are not my level." Yuri simply said. "I know many things about you, earth woman."

I feel a sudden tension. I've never seen this side of Karen. She seem to hate Yuri.

"Uhm.. She didn't mean it" I quickly intervene. I know Yuri didn't really mean it... does she?

"I don't." Yuri coldly reply. She is now staring at Karen with.. I don't know maybe disgust? Or maybe I am overthinking.

"Yeah. No prob." Karen replied. She is not even smiling. Is she mad?

"I'm sorry Karen. Yuri is just..." I look at Yuri to ask a better excuse.

"Sick. Yuri is sick!" I finally said

"Yeah, Yuri is sick Karen I'm sorry she is really not like this... She is kind and sweet, too like you. She doesn't feel better, right Yuri?" I look at Yuri while holding her wrist. I look at her with a do-not-even-talk look.

"I see. I hope she feels better soon. Yuri, right?" Karen asked

This is the first time I saw a fake smile on Karen's face.
