Welcome to the “Dream Book”, a minor part in the inspiration for the upcoming novel “Animals’ Lottery”. Here you can read a small collection of “What mean to dream about that animal?” where each animal will appear on Animals' Lottery, with no actual spoiler.
“Animals’ Lottery” animals are based on the animals for the “Jogo do Bicho” (The Animal Play), a small lottery created by a zoo owner to help make money and popularize the Rio de Janeiro’s zoo in 1892, using the animals you could find there. However, it became illegal since 1946, as anyone could make similar bets anywhere, losing the purpose of the lottery. On the other hand, people still makes their bets based on the 'Jogo do Bicho' nonetheless. In 1962, the Federal Lottery was officially created and people say it replaces the “Jogo do Bicho”, but under the government control.
As people start to try and guess what number would be sorted on the Jogo do Bicho, they thought, “If I dream about it, I must play the lottery with the number for that animal”. With that, it became common thinking that dreams may give you some luck with it somehow, even though psychoanalyst may differ from that idea and it’s with the idea of meanings this little ‘novel’ will talk about. Not taking this too seriously, here you will see simple meanings about dreaming with animals, that you could find easily on internet. Eventually, I will just translate what I find in Portuguese on internet and publish it here, so this can help me getting used with Tapas system to publish novels and also, I can share this with my lovely boyfriend, who talks only in English (some Norwegian as well, but mostly English).
Animals' Lottery will be published on Tapas while is write for the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in 2018.
So, are you ready?
