Her long walk to the tower complete, Shara starts following the story a bit more in earnest.
Also, she takes a moment to realize that one, the tower is indeed massive, and two, that she is oddly aware of how many steps it took to get there.
(143,297 steps is roughly 71 miles, assuming a brisk pace and about 2000 steps per mile)

In a strange place between all worlds, Shara woke up with nothing and used a story to fill in the blanks. She's taken on the role of the heroic Knight, having saved and fallen in love with the "Princess" Laizel, and having found the "Noble Beast" Neith. Together, the three of them encountered a strange candy-shop in the middle of nowhere and got a little help from the eccentric owner.
Now, with past danger behind them and a world of possibility in front of them, our heroes are going to have to face the greatest struggle a Runist can... figuring out who they want to be. That, and figuring out who the hell was trapping Runists in sleep pods.
