Ch.1, pt.13 Duel

When you don't have any formal training, it can be easy to underestimate the ass kickings you might receive.
First time we're seeing Shara near something we can draw proportion from; Mark is an animated human skeleton.
This was also the first "fight" I've draw in a LONG time, so I had to play with weight and positioning a bit harder than I've needed to so far in Lumination. Not a fan of the shield in this page, but sometimes shaking off the rust isn't pretty no matter what you do.
I don't know if this page will show up a lower quality than normal; I tried something new to give myself more space to draw, but reducing it to the size Tapas requires knocked a bit more quality off than I anticipated. It might be one of those things where I'm just seeing it because I've been staring at it while drawing for the past few days.

Runist (Ru - Nist, noun) (Alt., Runechild, Runeborn). A type of creature created by Saint Origin, whose physicality is formed around a Rune emblazoned upon their soul. Magical by nature, their talents are dictated by their Rune.
In a strange place between all worlds, Shara woke up with nothing and used a story to fill in the blanks. She's taken on the role of the heroic Knight, having saved and fallen in love with the "Princess" Laizel, and having found the "Noble Beast" Neith. Together, the three of them encountered a strange candy-shop in the middle of nowhere and got a little help from the eccentric owner.
Now, with past danger behind them and a world of possibility in front of them, our heroes are going to have to face the greatest struggle a Runist can... figuring out who they want to be. That, and figuring out who the hell was trapping Runists in sleep pods.
