Hey folks. Today’s voting day. I know everyone on the internet is doing something like this right now so I’ll keep it brief. I’m not going to shame or scold you or tell you that everything bad in our country is your fault if you don’t vote, because that’s not true. I’m also not going to tell you that doing so will magically fix everything wrong with our nightmarish government, because that’s not true either. I’m just asking that you use the simplest and most straightforward tool in your political arsenal to help shape the future you want to see. As broken as the system is, we just can’t afford to stand by and cross our arms while monsters openly campaign on the promise of violence toward marginalized people. Checking some boxes on a screen is not a magic bullet, but it’s a start.
