Hello, world.
You all know how this usually goes. There's a brooding teenage boy (or girl) who rarely goes out, or a middle-aged man (or lady) who was so burned out from working. Then they get hit by a truck, or get stabbed to death, or maybe just blink, I don't know. Then suddenly, they're TRANSPORTED TO ANOTHER WORLD.
That's how it usually goes from what I heard. Well, let me tell you a story about how I, the great Sage of Storm Mount, encountered a person from another world.
It was just any other day, as I was gazing down on a human settlement beneath Storm Mount. I can hear the sound of metal clashing together, smell the scent of blood in the air. Heads and limbs scattered everywhere. You know, the usual.
It looks like the Beastmen are going to win this round. You see, for the past 6 months, humans and Beastmen are fighting tirelessly to claim this part of land beneath Storm Mount. I live at its peak and witnessed this skirmishes, and quite frankly, it was very annoying. I woke up one day and then there they are, disturbing my peaceful life.
But then again, it was a bit entertaining too, given that I don't have anything else to do here. So I watched as they slaughter each other and prove they're dominance over the other. Whenever the humans win, they will immediately build settlements and celebrate like there's no tomorrow. But when the Beastmen wins, they will destroy everything the humans built and go about with whatever they wanna do.
I was kind of rooting for the humans to win because it was always entertaining when they do. But the Beastmen looks like they were just protecting this land so I was quite conflicted on who I really want to win.
Since it looks like the Beastmen will win this round, I might as well go back to sleep. Nothing entertaining ever happens anyway whenever they win.
And then, the most amazing thing happened! A beam of light shot up to the sky. The light came from the human settlement. It seems like some kind of very powerful summoning spell, but it was very unlikely that a human did that. Maybe they seek aid from the elves or maybe the dryads, I'm not sure.
Something emerges out of the light. Its presence stopped the fighting and everyone couldn't help but be mesmerized by it. Including me.
Its burning red eyes melted my cold icey heart. Its long sharp fangs bite through my soul! Its elegant claws just squeezes the emotions out of me! And its magnifiscent wings blew me away.
I descended from the mountain as fast as I could, to meet this creature of unparalleled beauty! The earth trembled as I make my approach. Gust of winds destroyed everything in my path. And at last, I was standing right in front of her. As I cleared my throat, the land I was standing on was instantly cleared of rubbles. And then, I greeted her with:
"H-h-hello, I'm, I'm, uh, Thorn Frosthorn. T-the great Sage, I mean, Guardian of Storm Mount! N-n-nice to m-meet you-!"
Yup, I choked up.
(You might be confused. You thought I was a Sage? Yes, in a way. You see, there was a saying that if you stay virgin until you're old, you'll become a Wizard. I'm not particularly proud of this, but I'm a 1,000 year old virgin. I might as well call myself a Sage. Hilarious, I know. How the hell is that even possible? Well duh, I'm a dragon of course. Wait, I forgot to mention that didn't I? I'm very bad at this stuff. Sorry.)
Okay. Back to the story...
"H-h-hello, I'm, I'm, uh, Thorn Frosthorn. T-the great Sage, I mean, Guardian of Storm Mount! N-n-nice to m-meet you-!"
To be continued... (Darn it!)
