Sam fears his father Lev Abramov's judgmental nature - especially since his father will NOT agree to Sam's choice to become an actor. It was his father's choice for Sam to go to law school and have a "respectable career", and Sam is torn between making his parents happy and making himself happy. His fear is that his parents are right after all, and that his dreams of becoming an actor are nothing more than a daydream, since it's not that likely he'll be famous and be able to support himself. There would be nothing more embarrassing than him going ahead with his dream to become an actor, only to become a pauper living off other's sympathy.
The top panel of the second page was a piece I did for Inktober.
