Alex

Panic and worry was starting to since I have been waiting for hours for Kathy’s call. Her plane landed hours ago, and I still hadn’t heard from her, so I had kind of started to panic. Like a lot. I had tried to reach her, but her phone had been turned off the entire time. No matter how many times I called. And I called her a lot, at least 10 times.

I was reaching for my phone to try and call her again when I heard my computer beep.

I looked over and saw that I had a message from Kathy. Finally! I lunged at my computer to see what she had to say.

Kathy: hey alex, sorry i didnt call, my phone died

Alex: kathy! omg i thought there was something wrong! are you ok?

Kathy: yeah i guess, its a nice place and the people im staying with seem nice

Alex: thats good at least. are there any kids?

Kathy: yeah, girl and a boy. the girl seems kind of bitchy

Alex: ouch really?

Kathy: yeah, im trying to avoid her as much as i can but… i miss my brothers…  its just so different here you know

Alex: i do, i miss you so much. i almost wish I had begged you to stay

Kathy: awww hon!

Alex: im sorry kat, but I miss you

Kathy: i miss you too alex <3

I stared at the computer with tears in my eyes. I kept telling myself I wouldn’t cry, but Kathy was miles away in a strange place while I was stuck at home and could do nothing to help her.
