People tend to make Scrooge an old man, but I swear he couldn't be more than about 50 in A Christmas Carol. I figure he's in his 60s here, probably enjoying a philanthropic retirement.
Guess what? This is the bit where i link to my kickstarter and feel like I'm annoying everyone with the constant links :D

People it was a different time. And I love how Scrooge is working around the curse by making Tim laugh. I take it that after coming in contact with spirits, he knows a thing or two about magic now and how to deal with it.
Plus, I absolutely love the message your story has especially on its view about suffering. It is a part of life and it is a part of what shapes our humanity.
He's not so tiny any more. A decade after the events of A Christmas Carol, young Timothy Cratchit is finding it harder and harder to be the optimistic soul he once was. It might be that some benign supernatural intervention is required... that's how it works, right?
(A Christmas ghost story in 25 episodes, coming DECEMBER 2018!)
