Damn, that looked like it hurt! Shara turns her attention to Greg next; will he continue to narrate his thoughts or get smashed with a greatsword?
I'm switching to a black-and-white style for the sake of speed. This page was done in a fraction of the time full color takes me. I didn't like it being totally greyscale though, so I'll be adding in splashes of color where it suits me, like in Shara's hair.

A quirk of most young Runists is that their physical nature doesn't usually match up with their actual capabilities as much as most mortal creatures' will. As they age, that changes a bit... but that's a story for later page.

Runist (Ru - Nist, noun) (Alt., Runechild, Runeborn). A type of creature created by Saint Origin, whose physicality is formed around a Rune emblazoned upon their soul. Magical by nature, their talents are dictated by their Rune.
In a strange place between all worlds, Shara woke up with nothing and used a story to fill in the blanks. She's taken on the role of the heroic Knight, having saved and fallen in love with the "Princess" Laizel, and having found the "Noble Beast" Neith. Together, the three of them encountered a strange candy-shop in the middle of nowhere and got a little help from the eccentric owner.
Now, with past danger behind them and a world of possibility in front of them, our heroes are going to have to face the greatest struggle a Runist can... figuring out who they want to be. That, and figuring out who the hell was trapping Runists in sleep pods.
