“What is this everyone? It looks as though Repigigas has gone out of control. I hope for Team Saurian’s sake that this is just some part of some complicated strategy.” The announcer says watching the battle.

Repigigas stomps around roaring loudly as it smashes into the buildings around it. All the while Tentomass watches clinging to a building from on high as Repigigas stomps around. For his part, Kenji struggles to stand as an intense pain hits his entire body as he struggles to stay on his board.

“Well, this is a fine mess Toshiro,” Oriana says watching the chaos. “Kenji’s half out of it, Repi’s out of control, and Dian is struggling to pull this out of the crapper.”

Toshiro sighs. “Yeah, this is a fine mess. I’m going, to be honest, I’ve never seen a situation this bad. We can forget winning making sure we’re not excommunicated is going to be the number one priority here.”

“Yeah, so, what now?”

“Oh, you want to help?” Toshiro asks.

“There has to be something we can do to do something about this. Even if it’s just the smallest of actions.” Oriana clenches her fist and stares down at Toshiro.

Toshiro looks out over the horizon. “We can support Dian.”

“What?”

“My baby girl is doing her best to keep the Bond between Kenji and Repi intact right now. Should she lose that struggle I have no idea what’ll happen but it won’t be good.” Toshiro stands and walks over towards Dian’s pod platform.

“We can’t interfere with the pod, that’s….”

Toshiro places his hand on the pod. “These things are designed to block out the brainwaves of potential Minders to prevent interference, but if we try hard enough our hopes might reach her.”

“So, all we have is a small minute hope?”

“Yup!”

Oriana sighs as she walks forward placing her hand on Dian’s pod. “Come on Dian, aren’t you stronger than this!?” She yells out.

Toshiro smiles. “I knew there was something I liked about you!” He yells out excitedly. “Come on Honey show Daddy what you're made of!” He yells out.

The pair yell for Dian while on the mental realm she struggles to keep the connection intact with all of her might.

“Come on Kenji, stand!” Kenji yells at himself as he struggles to get up. “Come on, not just for yourself, but for Boss, Dian, and Repi.”

Kenji looks out and watches as Repigigas stomps around smashing everything around it as it rampages. He lifts himself up with sheer will and grabs onto the rail of his hovering disk. He stares at Repigigas and concentrates trying to feel out the same familiar sensation between the two.

“Come on Repi. You have to hear me, please Repigigas.”

Out on the battlefield, Repigigas rampages as Tentomass swings in towards the out of control Kaiju. It swings in overhead and swipes at it with its tentacles knocking Repi away and into the side of a building. As Repi struggles to stand it lets out a mass of ink forcing it to the ground and swiping it with its tentacles once again.

“That’s it Tentomass! You can do it wreck that fool and show it how we do things!” Tentomass’s Brawler yells out excitedly.

Repigigas forces itself to stand as it slips on the ink underneath its feet. It roars out in rage and a spark of electricity shoots out of its body as it glares at Tentomass. Kenji watches in pain and horror as he tries to think of some way out of this situation.

“There has to be something, something…” Kenji says struggling to come up with an idea. “Something I can do to save Repi!”

Repigigas stands and roars shooting out a blast of lighting out at Tentomass as the attack pushes the large squid back. Tentomass lashes out with its tentacles wrapping them around Regigigas and pulling it forward with its momentum. Regigigas bites onto Tentomass’s side and tries to chew a chunk out of its side.

“Come on Tentomass, your skin is too tough for that thing’s bites!” The enemy Brawler yells out.

Kenji stares ahead and glances at Repigigas. “Come on now, listen to me already. Thunder Burst!”

In the mental realm, Dian struggles to keep the tether between Kenji and Repigigas as it splits and tears. She strains herself and struggles trying her hardest to keep it together as she forces herself to bear the strain of the breaking Bond.

“Oh God damn it Kenji. Why the hell are you this stupid?” She asks trying her hardest.

“Come on Dian!” Toshiro’s voice rings out through her mind.

“Dad?”

“Dian, show us what you can do!” Oriana’s voice yells out through her mind.

Dian tightens her grip and pushes the breaking tether together. “Come on Dian Saegusa you are not this weak, if Kenji can’t pull his own head out of the fire, it’s your job to do it.”

“So, let’s all do our best so even if we lose, we have a match that we can be proud of!” She yells out as she brings the tether together.

Repigigas gathers electricity around itself and gathers a large ball of electricity in its mouth. It launches the ball out at Tentomass as it wraps its tentacles around the sides of a building as the ball comes towards it. The blast hits and sends Tentomass flying backward as Repigigas stands roaring loudly.

“What is this? Has Repigigas managed to pull a win with one last ditch attack?” The announcer asks concerned.

As the dust settles Tentomass stands tall wrapping itself around another building as Repigigas falls to the ground. Kenji falls on his disk as it floats to the ground both Kaiju and Brawler unconscious.

Dian emerges from her pod and stares out into the distance as Oriana and Toshiro stand by her side. “We lost.” She says to herself.

“And that’s it, folks, Tentomass is the winner of this round let’s all have a round of applause for our many limbed winner. As for poor Repigigas let’s hope Team Saurian gets its act together before the next match if there is one for that team.” The announcer says as her disk raises up into the sky. “With that said that’s the end of today’s matches so I will be seeing all of you here next time. Same Kaiju time, same Kaiju live stream.”

Out in the distance staring on a rooftop, Alice stares off in the distance glancing at Repigigas’s unconscious body. She pulls out her phone as she holds out her hand reaching into the mental realm and peeking in on Kenji and Repigigas’s tether.

“It’s fractured, not completely severed. I guess it was tied to tightly to cause any major damage.” She says speaking into her phone. “I will begin Phase two and begin visiting the others at the earliest convenience.”

“What? A time delay? Fine I will comply.” She says putting her phone away as she stares into the sky. “Such a tedious job, but all of this is only a stepping stone at the end of the day anyway. Soon we’ll show this world the true might of Kaiju that it’s forgotten.”

As time passes Kenji wakes up in a hospital bed strapped to various devices monitoring him. He forces himself up as the wires tug on his body and he forces himself up. Looking around no one sits in his room as the sounds of the machines beep across the room.

“Where’s Repi?” Kenji asks.

“I think we have bigger issues to worry about for now.” Toshiro walks into the room staring down at Kenji.

“Boss?”

Toshiro pulls up a chair. “So, how’re you feeling?”

“Not too great. Everything hurts and I can’t really feel much of anything right now honestly.”

Toshiro sighs. “I think I can understand. But let me ask how did you end up like this?”

“It was my Bond with Repi, something’s wrong with it and it’s causing…”

Toshiro turns his head. “I see then. I was right.”

“What?”

“Repigigas isn’t normally hostile. Even before you were Bonded it wasn’t a hostile creature and with that last match….”

Kenji turns towards Toshiro with a scared look in his eyes. “Boss you’re not saying….”

“I think for both of your sakes, to end your pain and stop Repi’s hostility, we need to sever your Bond and give up Brawling,” Toshiro says with a stern look on his face.
