Devin was mourning over his merciful brothers deaths by their teacher; which had happened some time yesterday in class. The rest of the group had waited outside in the hallways of their former school. Devin was on kneeling in front of his brothers praying that their spirits will make it to heaven. As Devin was saying his prayers the Roamers outside the class room window had noticed devin and started banging on the windows. As they were banging on the windows, it started to forming big cracks.

Riel Burst into the room and interrupts devins prayers in the process of attracting more Roamers to their windows. “WHAT THE HELL RIEL!!” Devin screamed at Riel. While Devin was letting his anger out at Riel; the widows are getting close to shattering completely. A piece of the glass fell onto the ground with a shattering sound. The damaged window allowed the roamers to stick a few of their arms inside in attempt to reach at Devin and Riel.

More roamers are grouping more onto the windows and the dreadful sounds of groans and bangs on the windows grow more loud and alerting.

“The roamers are going to break inside soon.” Riel explained. When Riel finished his words the roamers finally had broken through the windows and slowly started stammering into the room. Riel immediately grabbed devin by the arm and dragged him out of the room. As they narrowly got out of the room the roamers started feasting on the corpses of kids in the room.

The group that has Devin, Amy, Kaydens, Whitney ,Nick and Riel had one last look in the room that contains roamers feasting on easy snacks. With shock on what happened one thing they all had in mind was hope that this wouldn't happen to them.

More roamers had made their ways through the halls on the others side of the school where the high school classes were supposed to be. The school hallways is now filled with no undead students, teachers and residents of N’dilo. We ran outside by the side door leading to the gym and retirement home. As the group looked outwards to the small reserve they noticed some smoke around the place, and heard distant screams and plea for help.

“What now?” Amy questioned. Kaydens and Devin ran down the metallic stairs. “We get out of this area and survive” Devin exclaimed.

Amy joined the two who ran as Nick, Riel and Whitney ran in another direction. Devin looked back at the other three who were running for something. “HEY!, Where Are You Going” Devin yells. “To the nearest place with weapons!!!” Riel and Nick Yelled back.

The group of six had split in hopes of finding different methods of safety. Devin, and the two girls wanted to find a place ;a safe haven away from the roamers. As Nick, Riel, Whitney went to look for ideal weapons to quickly get rid of small groups of roamers. The groups are heading to the same area, but in differents paths. Devin lead his groups into the small woods and trees for protection; Riel group had took the main road for a faster route to town.

Devin, Kaydens, and Amy came across a neighborhood and few cars that seemed to be left alone with the keys in the ignition. Unfortunately none of them knew how to drive a car yet. Thankfully one seemed to be well stocked with food, clothing, and small weapons like knives. So they took whatever they can hold in there pockets.They left the car empty. They went back on the road and followed it to a store called Weaver and Devore. “We should get something here” Kaydens mentioned.

“No we got what we need for now” Devin said, as he walked passed the store. Shortly after his groups passed the store, Riels group had came across the place. They immediately walked in to get weapons, Nick had came to the place once before. “There should be big knives and warm gear inside good for summer and winter,” Nick said. They searched the stores taking what they need, they took several knives and backpacks. They went to the back of the store and filled two backpacks worth of snacks and food for the long road ahead.

“Shhhhh! Quiet, I heard something.” Whitney whispered to Riel and Nick. As they crouched down and listened for a while. Than a big bang sound came from upstairs. “Who should go up there?” Nick asked

Immediately Whitney’s childish side showed and pointed at her brother so he had to search upstairs. Riel just stared at Nick. “Would you send a nerd up there who is weak?” Riel whispered. “Hey I’m just as weak as you Riel” Nick protested. Riel and Whitney just gave Nick a long stare in an attempt to get him to go up there. “Finnneee..” Nick says as he crawls up the stairs in a stealthy way.

Devin and his two companions came across a baseball field. The fences, bleacher, and doors near by was teared down, to make a makeshift safe haven at the baseball field. They watched from a distance to see how well it would defend against the roamers. They went up to the small gates of this safe haven. “Who there that approaches Old Town Safe Haven!!” A gate guard barks at the group. “We just want a safe place to stay!!” Kaydens yells.

The gate guards let Devin and the two girls inside the safe haven.

As for Riel’s group, they watched Nick go upstairs in hope nothing too bad is up there. Nick walks around slowly and quietly in search of the banging sound from earlier. He came across a guy and his family. “S-stay away foul cannibal!!” Guy points a rifle at Nick in hopes it's not one of the roamers from outside. Nick quickly moved behind a shelf and hid from the guy. In a hesitant manner the guy quickly shoots at Nick with just a near miss.

The bullet from the gun had hit the alarm system on the wall, it started a loud alarm sound. “Crap!” Nick yells as he ran back down the stairs. Riel and Whitney got up and followed Nick out the entrance of the door. As they ran towards the main road leading to town, any nearby roamers near the store had started the crowded the store and encasing the family. They ran passed the old town safe haven not knowing one existed, they heard more gunshots from the direction of the store.

Devin look back before entering the safe haven and notices his friend Riel, Whitney and her brother were running to the town. He wishes for their safety in the town of Yellowknife and are lead to a safety wherever their travels go. Devin walks into the safe haven with Kaydens and Amy. “You will stay here until this danger has been resolved,” A resident of safe haven tell them. “But the one of the many rules that applies to kids, KIDS MUST NEVER LEAVE THIS PLACE” Another person tells our hero and his two companions.

Devin was shocked by this fact since he couldn't ever see any of his family and friends that are outside the safe haven until they grow old enough to scavenge the town. They are forever trapped in the safe haven until death or they leave on their own account in several years.
