The next morning couldn't be more amazing than yesterday! David came by and took me out to lunch. We talked about a lot of things. It was 4 o'clock, and I had to get home for dinner soon.
“David?”
“Yeah?”
“I got go home soon.”
“I know. I'll drive you, but I want to tell you something first.”
“Yeah?”
“Do you believe in mysterious creatures?”
“What do you mean?”
“Nothing, forget. Let's get you home”
I wonder want he was going tell me. He must be tired. I mean we did do a bunch today.
As he drove me home, he was super silent. I turned on the radio, but before I could, he said, “Jess, I don't want the radio on.”
“How did you...”
“Lucky guess.”
Something is weird here. He never ever tells me I can't do anything. “David?”
The car stopped automatically. We were already at my house. “Yeah?”
“Is something the matter?”
“No.”
“Are you...”
He starred at me. “Yes, I'm sure.”
“Okay.”
He came over to my side of the car and opened it. “I'll see you tomorrow.”
Is this really how we are going to do this? Are really just going to do this? I guess so.
“Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow.” I start to head to the front door of my house, before I do David stops me. “David?”
“Jess,” he leans in for a kiss, but he stops, before his lips touches mine.
“Uhmm,” I said, feeling a bit nervous.
“I love you.” He leans back and smiles.
“I love you, too. Goodnight David.”
“Goodnight.” He, then, jumped into his car, and he drove away. I starred at the way he went. I really so love David, but something bad was going happen . I could feel it.
Thursday, today, was the weirdest. David was acting so strange. I even asked what's wrong, but he didn't listen to me at all. That night, when he drove me home, I was going to ask him.
We were at my house, and he stopped in the driveway. We both got out, and I started to ask, “David, is...”
“Jessica, I love you, so I'm going tell you something.”
“Yeah, what is it?”
“Jessica, I am a ...”
“You are a human being that loves me to death,” I interrupted him.
“Yes and no.”
“What? You don't love me?”
“No. I do love you. I'm not human, Jessica.”
“What?”
“I'm not human, Jessica.”
“Wh... what are you then?”
“Jess,” he walked closer. I stepped backwards. “Jess, I'm not going to hurt you.”
“What are you?”
“Jess,” he tried to get closer, but I kept walking away.
“WHAT ARE YOU?”
“Jess, please don't go away.”
“Tell me, what are you?
“Jess, I'm a vampire.”
“You're a what?”
“I'm a vampire. I know you're scared, but I don't drink human blood.” He walked closer to me. I just stood there. He reached out and touched my cheek. I flinched. “Jess,” he said leaning in. He was about to press his lips to mine, when mom came out.
“Jess? Come on... oh,” she saw the way David was position.
David let go and said, “Goodnight. I'll see you tomorrow.”
“Actually, I'm busy tomorrow. Right Mom?” I looked at my mom.
“Jess, you can hang out with David, if you want.”
“Fine, see you tomorrow.” I walked past him, into the house.
I ate dinner, as soon as I walked through the door. I went upstairs, after dinner. I was tired, and I had a lot to think about. I went bed, with all of what happen today.
