“ DON’T JUST GO AND BE DECIDING ON YOUR OWN TO MAKE ME YOUR QUEEN” Rowland shouted as he ran out of the palace, having succeeded in pulling his hands away. 

He didn’t even bother to sneak through his window. He ran pass through the front door of his house and entered his room.

“ what just happened, how could Maxwell be the king. He dresses like a commoner, he moved like one, he did not even have a body guard” he said to himself.

“ Rowland you are a fool, did you not see how fresh and clean he look, no commoner look like that” he was talking to himself like a mad man and sat on the floor.

Back at the palace.

“ Your Excellency, you cannot be serious, his lineage itself was a crime on it own, he lack manners and qualities befitting of a queen” another elder said to the king as Rowland ran away.

“ I have told you I do not care, was it not you elders, who pick my first wife who was a thief, a cheat and a stubborn woman” the king ask them. And immediately they all shut up. They knew that it was their fault the kings first marriage was a failure.

“ look I will not stay here while my queen is confuse out there, for I must go after him” the king said as he ran out of the palace after Rowland, not even bordering to change his commoner’s clothes.

“ Follow him” The elder said to the Royal guards who quickly followed the king.

He reached Rowland’s house and quickly climb the window he usually used.

“ Rowland “ he said. He saw Rowland sitting on the bed floor.

“ go away” Rowland said without raising his head.

“ I am sorry that I lied to you but I am not sorry that I love you” he said as he was trying to climb inside, he missed his step and fell on the ground.

“ MAX- NO I MEAN YOUR MAJESTY ARE YOU OKAY” Rowland got up from the bed floor and look through the window and saw Maxwell lying on the ground. He did not even think twice as he quickly jump through the window to check on Maxwell. For he love him too much that he has even forgotten that he was angry with him.

“ Rowland what is the matter” ask his mother who had heard him shouting and ran out.

“ Mother I am fine”

Maxwell got up from the floor.

“ are you okay? How could you fall from such a short window “ Rowland said.

“ I am fine” Maxwell answered. For they have both forgotten that they were even quarreling.

“ Rowland, why are you mingling with commoners, have you forgotten what I told you, and you, young man please stay away from my son” his mother said, for she already had a rich man on sight who had promised to wed her son next week. She haven’t even told Rowland yet.

“ Mother he is his Majesty, the king of our land” his mother looked at Maxwell's dress and shoe.

“ Rowland are you blind or what”

“ no mother see the royal guards behind you” She look behind her and behold they were there.

‘ wait, he was not joking, now that I think about it, he had the same face with the king I saw two month ago on the horse' she thought.

“ please come inside your Majesty the sun is too hot” she said.

she just did a three hundred and sixty degree change on her attitude and started smiling.

Mother will never change, thought Rowland.

She opened the door wider than was necessary, in fact she even used her skirt to clean the chair for Maxwell

“ your Majesty, please excuse me for a minute” she said as she left the parlor.

“ Rowland, It was not my intention to lie to you” Maxwell could not afford to lose Rowland, he has never love another like this before.

“ So why did you lie? “

“ I-“ he wanted to say something when Rowland Mother cut him off.

“ your Majesty please drink this” she said as she turned wine into a glass cup and gave to him.

WAIT! DID MOTHER JUST OPENED HER FAVORITE WINE!,thought Rowland. For he was shock, his mother who didn’t even want to drink it herself all this months because to her it was too precious and expensive.
