(A Vision)
After Sarah and Ava had passed out, they immediately went into a dream. Firstly, what happened is they started to fall into a big, black pit. After this had happened, they started to see a white light towards the end. It grew larger and brighter, until they were engulfed in nothing but light. Then, the light started to morph into a downtown part of a city—their home city! At first, it looked normal, but then they saw it broken down to rubble and ash. Flames and smoke were everywhere! Everywhere they looked was deserted. A huge building had fallen down upon another building.
Two figures stood before them—one was a man who was only made of shadows and hovering over the peak of the rubble. He was only a few feet up in the air. The second was a woman who was made purely of light. She too, was on top of the rubble, except she was standing on it, not hovering over it. Then, a third figure joined them—it looked to be an older man. He looked to be made of static. The outline of him was fuzzy. He too, was on the rubble. He was hovering over it, a few feet above the man made of shadows. Then, he slowly descended down to the ground. He looked straight at the two girls and then slowly started to fade away. Soon, he was gone.
Then, three more figures joined the two remaining figures atop the giant pile of rubble and buildings. They all looked to be young girls, all about the same age as the two girls! They were made of shadows just like the man, but something was different—they were dripping with a weird black liquid. Unlike the other figures they were standing with, the two girls could see their eyes—they looked dark and cold. Instead of having normal white eyes, they all had cold, dead, black ones. The tallest one of the three had neon pink irises, the second tallest had neon green irises and the last one had ice blue irises. They all smiled mischievous smiles. This made the two girls uncomfortable. Something wasn’t right. Those three girls seemed unsettlingly familiar. The two girls looked at each other. Then they looked to their right—they saw Sage standing there next to them as well. She gave them an uncertain wave and a smile. She looked confused. The two girls, equally confused, nervously smiled back. Then they looked back to the six figures standing before them—they were closer this time. The three girls stood very still. They looked at each other again. This time, the three of them were covered in blood, scratches and bruises. Their clothes were all torn up and they all suddenly felt very sore and tired.
Ava stepped forward.
“Wh-who are you?” She asked anxiously, suddenly out of breath.
There was silence. Then, the man made of shadows started to come towards them. As he got closer, they could see he had a huge white smile plastered across his face. As he started to get closer and closer, the area around them started to get darker and colder. The figures started to fade into the background. The three girls were now in complete darkness and silence. Then, they started to see a gray light right in front of them. They all started to slowly approach it. When they had made it, they now saw one single figure kneeling before them—it looked to be a man. He looked to be about 25 and seemed to be made of black stardust. It was like he was made of magic. He looked up at the three girls. His eyes were all black, except for the irises, which were a faded, neon purple. He also looked like he had been crying. Clear, purple tears stained his face. The three girls all looked at him with confused and concerned looks.
“A-are you okay?” Sarah asked, concern in her voice.
He muttered something that the girls couldn’t make out.
“What was that?” Sage asked.
He said it again. This time they could kind of make out what he was saying.
“Go...go! Quickly! Don’t let them catch you!” He said quickly.
The voice was so familiar, and yet not, at the same time. His voice sounded like a man’s voice, except it sounded like it was being drowned out by static. It was almost like he didn’t want to be heard, or someone didn’t want the girls to hear him. The girls were confused by this. The man’s eyes were filled with concern and urgency.
“Please...” he continued, his voice growing more urgent,”You need to leave now! If they catch you...” He kept talking, but his voice started to become farther away, and the sound of static filled the room. Then, the three original figures, now much bigger this time, appeared behind him—faint, evil laughter could be heard echoing around the dark, empty space that was the room that the three girls were standing in. Momentarily, the girls stood there, starring transfixed at the three giant figures that had appeared right behind the man made of stardust and magic. Then, the young man flinched. He winced. A large, black hole had been ripped right through his torso. Black liquid began to drip from the hole. The evil laughter intensified. Then, after a few moments, they all started to become more and more far away—the evil laughter slowly fading with them. The young man stayed. He stood up.
“Goodbye, Girls...” He whispered shakily. “It has been a pleasure...”
He bowed a slow, solemn bow, and faded away, his body turning into dust. Black and purple glowing stardust floated around the three girls. The room became dark once again. They heard faint whispers echo around them. This time when they went into the light, they woke up.
