Alright, journal,

Alright, journal,

Dec 21, 2018

I got the study guide things done, and boy — let me tell ya, making that thing was crazy! The information on there ranges from basic questions to the expectations of social edict in public. At this point, it’s basically more of a guideline than a study guide. I probably went overboard with this thing, but I don’t know how they were raised! For all I know, the twins probably think that everybody was born and raised in a lad by a group of scientists before being kicked out into the real world. I’m glad they’re coming here a week before they start school; that way the twins can look at the guidelines and if they have a sort of culture shock, they have time to freak out and calm down.

Dad thinks that the guidelines is a clever idea, but also that I shouldn’t worry too much about it. I asked why and he said that “they’re made to adapt fast” but it sounded more like a slip of the tongue and he tried to cover it up by saying that he meant that they’re very adaptable.

He knows that I know that they were raised in a lab, he takes me to work — how could I not pick that up? Why is he still trying to hide the fact that they’re genetic engineering babies from me? I’m 12, dad, I can put two and two together! The only reason why I don’t say anything is because I want HIM to tell me! He’s usually so down-to-earth and straight with me, is his job preventing him from saying anything through some kind of contract? Can’t he at least let me in on the know-how? Or does he not trust me with that information because I’m 12?

I do talk about the twins to Addine a lot. I actually used to tell everyone about them. Eventually, they stopped believing me and thought I was just trying to get attention. Addine might not believe me, but she didn’t stop hanging out with me because of it. I really appreciate her for that.

I wonder if she’ll get along with the twins? I think she will, Addine is the sassy queen of social butterfly’s, she gets along with everybody she thinks are worth her time. She’ll straight up tell you what she likes and doesn’t like about you, whether it’s an opinion or a personality trait. And she doesn’t care if someone likes her back, just don’t start anything with her and there will be peace.

There was this one girl in our class who didn’t get along with Addine at all. She was the model student who talked behind people’s backs and Addine HATED that! Whenever she’s hear that girl badmouthing someone, she’d call her out on it, they basically had a loathsome “relationship” until that girl changed schools. Addine’s great like that. I can always trust her to be honest with me.

I already told her that they where coming, and she still doesn’t believe me, oooohhhh~ I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she sees my “fictitious brothers”!

I 've never thought that I'd write in a journal, heck, I don't even know if I'll stick with it. But, after what happened in dads lab with the twins today, I have to write something down...
