This is the last one I'll have to split up. I didn't realize how many pages the older episodes were.
Anyway, this one was interesting. I don't really like it. But not for the same reason as the others. Where I felt the older episodes had good ideas but bad execution, this one was just a bad idea -- but the execution was fine. The mystery aspect of it was intersting but, I don't know, it just seems kind of contrived to me. At this point, the series had no real plot, so doing stuff like this that added back story and things that could impact the series later on was a new thing and I didn't handle it very well. If I could take one of them out, it would be this one. The rest I would just redo. Except maybe the chess game, that could go too probably.
Still, it did give use the James Town joke which I will forever enjoy for the silliness of. It came out randomly in a conversation Zack and I were having. *sigh* I miss those days.
I do think the artwork is much better in this one. Stardust still looks off at times, but it's closer.
Stardust the Cat is a comic series created by Stephen Leotti. It debuted in September 2012 and concluded in December 2014.
The plot centers around Stardust, a cat who is unsatisfied with life, despises his owner, and has nothing better to do than watch TV and be angry at commercials.
One day, a mouse named Freddie comes to live in his house. Stardust, being too lazy too care, let's him live there. Over time, the two become closer and even start to become friends.
Eventually, Stardust meets a girl, Naomi, whom he becomes romantically involved with. But learns she has something of a dark past. Now he must decide whether he wants to be with her, as it could risk both of their lives.
