"You know you have school today, right Eve?"
That name, it doesn't fit.
It is too strange; a chunk of word to throw around in your mouth.
I feel something.
Discomfort.
Not towards the name, but something else.
An extra pair of eyes blinks, still watching.
I didn't notice mother's mouth move when she spoke.
I assume she did, anyway.
"Oh, yes, I remember." I sign.
"What? I didn't say anything..."
Her gaze changes.
Curiosity to worry.
Flickering.
Stupid.
Foolish.
Assuming.
Foolish.
Foolish.
A voice snickers at my reaction.
I do not.
The extras blip away, leaving me alone.
With mom of course.
Foolish.
