“All done, here,” Apollo says handing Ace a plate.

“Thank you,” Ace says grabbing the plate and scooping some food, Apollo does the same.

“Where do we eat?” Apollo asks standing behind Ace.

“There’s a table on the balcony, we can eat out there,” Ace says walking to the window. He opens it and sets his stuff on the table, “I hope you don’t mind but I’m gonna smoke while I eat,” He says lighting a cigarette.

“I don’t mind, I'm used to you smoking anyways,” Apollo says sitting down.

A few minutes pass as they sit in silence, “So what do you want to do today?” Ace asks blowing out smoke.

“Maybe you could come with to see how my brother is doing, I wanna make sure he’s not trashing my apartment,” Apollo says laughing, Ace smiles blowing out more smoke.

“Jax has a lunch break at twelve-thirty, I was thinking maybe we could stop by the cafe for lunch,” Ace says finishing his food.

“Sounds like a plan,” Apollo says standing up and grabbing Ace’s plate, Ace puts out his cigarette and follows Apollo inside, “I’ll rinse these dishes real quick then we can go,” Apollo says turning on the sink. Ace smiles as he slides on his shoes, “All done, let’s go,” He says sliding on his shoes and walking out the door, Ace follows hooking his arm around Apollo’s. Apollo unlocks his car and gets into the driver's seat, Ace gets in the passenger seat as Apollo starts the car.

“How long will it take to get there?” Ace asks as Apollo pulls out of the parking lot.

“Not that long, it took me like ten minutes to get here last time. It will take more like fifteen minutes this time because I was speeding last time to get there fast,” Apollo says stopping at the stop sign.

A few minutes later they arrive at Apollo’s apartment.

“I’ll go in first, just in case,” Apollo says laughing as he locks the car, Ace smiles as Apollo holds the door for him. They get up to Apollo’s room and knock, there is no response, “Guess I’ll just unlock it then,” He says pulling out his key. As he puts it in the door the door opens.

“Oh hey, didn’t think you were gonna be back for a while,” Carter says hugging Apollo.

“I just wanted to see if you were messing up the place,” Apollo laughs, “Oh yeah, this is Ace he works for me. He’s also a really good friend of mine,” Apollo says smiling.

“Is he the-” Carter says as Apollo interrupts him.

“Yes,” Apollo says as he’s smiles faded a little.

“Well, it’s nice to meet you Ace. My names Carter, I’m Apollo’s older brother,” Carter says holding out his hand.

“It’s nice to meet you, Carter, I’m glad I finally got to meet you,” Ace says shaking his hand.

“How are you feeling?” Carter asks inviting them in.

“I’m feeling well, better than yesterday,” Ace replies following Apollo.

“I’m glad, I heard what had happened and was kinda worried but I’m glad you’re better now,” Carter says as Apollo walks to the living room, “If you don’t mind me asking how did you try,” Carter asks trying not to be rude.

“Carter that’s not ok-” Apollo says sitting down on the couch.

“It’s fine, I don’t mind. I tried to drown myself in the bathtub, I’m glad because it’s easier to get better from that then like let's say pills or some type of gas poisoning,” Ace says sitting down next to Apollo.

“Well I’m glad you’re taking some time to recover,” Carter says sitting down in one of the chairs.

“I wasn’t gonna take time but this guy made me,” Ace says laughing.

“I’m glad he did, I wouldn’t want to go back to work after something like that for a little while,” Carter says smiling, “Do you guys want anything, coffee, tea, cookies?” He asks standing up.

“It’s fine, we just ate so you can sit down,” Apollo says smiling and rolling his eyes.

“This place is very well decorated,” Ace says scanning the room, “Ooo, where are the cats?” He asks getting excited.

“Just hanging around, I’m not really sure where they are at any time of day,” Carter says looking around.

“I’ll go find them,” Ace says calling the cats names.
