"What is this place?" Ian was teleported to a bright and shiny room with a roulette wheel right in front of him. The spirit then explained a few important details to Ian. "Right in front of you is a wheel. Every number on the wheel represents someone you've loved in your life. Every time you roll the ball and it lands on a number; I'm going to kill that person. However, it's more complicated than that."
Ian, was shocked and quickly replied. " Hey, hey, hey, wait a second here. I'm not going to kill anyone. What is the point of this whole game? Your telling me I journeyed all the way down here to play something I could play in any backwoods casino. No! NO! NO! No one is going to die."
The spirit looked on Ian with an evil smile and replied. "Ian, of course your not going to play because this a wheel of people you love. What if I told you I could change the wheel to everyone you hated? You could get rid of all your enemies and no one would ever trace it back to you? I will allow you to roll the ball four times and whoever it lands on will die. Fair enough?"
Although this opportunity did intrigue Ian, he needed more information before making a decision. " Hey spirit, I have a question. What do you get out of all of this? I don't believe you would grant something so powerful without a return." The spirit replied," you are correct my friend. I have absolutely nothing to game from this. I simply want to give people the opportunity to do what they really want to do. How about we begin?"
The spirit then created a brand new board with brand new names and numbers on it. It gave Ian four balls in his hand and told him to play. Ian clutched the balls in his hand and was just about to roll when something stopped him dead in his tracks. Ian noticed the names of all of his crew members on the board.
" Something's not right with this board. I don't hate any of the crew. Sure they might be annoying at times but I would never risk there life. I refuse to play. I want everyone to make it out of here alive."
The spirit was perplexed with Ian's loyalty. Therefore, the spirit made one more way to allow Ian to escape the devilish game.
A gun was soon teleported onto the table right in front of Ian. The spirit smiling with a devilish grin said," If you truly refuse my game I will give you only one way out. Pick up this gun and shoot yourself. Your hands will be innocent of all blood except your own. Is this not fair?"
Ian, already with his mind made up clutched the gun. With sweat beaming down his face. He pointed the gun at his head shaking violently and pulled the trigger. The bullet fired but was stopped by the spirit right before it reached his skull." I realize now you are truly honorable and loyal to your friends. I will allow you to return to your friends. However, you are not allowed to speak of any events that happened in here."
" I will test your friends with similar test as well. If none of your friends turn on you. You will survive and return back to the surface. But, if they turn on you, you will face utter death and destruction. Let the true game begin!"
