“Welcome back.” Valery says in a monotone voice as Bradley walks in and takes off his shoes.
“I can't believe you made me take a bus.” Bradley grumbled flopping down on the other side of the couch from her.
“I can't believe you still don't have a car. What are you waiting for? You have a driver's license.” she muttered scrolling through her phone.
“I don't have a job, unless you want to buy me a car I can't get one.” he grumbled again while nudging her.
“Quit, I'm working unlike you.” she says swatting his arm.
“I'm working too, working on your nerve.” he replied while getting up. “Do we got any beer?” he grumbles while heading to the kitchen.
“When did you drink beer?” she asks quickly looking up from her screen, at the spot he once stood.
The camera goes over to Bradley in the kitchen. “Guess that's a no.” he sighs grabbing a bottle of orange soda and slings the fridge door closed.
“You're not even twenty-one Brad.” she says rolling her eyes before continuing to work.
He walks back into the living room opening the bottle. She glances over looking at him cautiously as he gulps down some of the soda. Right when she's about to look away he spills some on the beige carpet. He freezes looking over to his sister, as her face morphs into multiple crazy-scary twist of emotions. Eventually it ends with her smiling calmly.
“Sis...just yell at me, anything but the face you're making right now.” he pleaded placing the bottle down on the coffee table.
“Bradley, my dear brother.” she says laughing lightly as she gets up from the couch and lays her phone on the coffee table. “My sweet brother.” she says coming over clapping her hands on his shoulders, swaying him a bit before suddenly squeezing tightly. She leans in still smiling. “Get out, don't come back until I call you.” she says squeezing tighter.
He nods quickly, grabbing the bottle then scrambled over to his shoes and put them on. He left our as soon as he did. But he made sure to sneak her car keys away while she was too busy paying attention to the stain and him leaving. At least now he didn't have to deal with a stupid bus again. He took her car and drove as far as he could. Which wouldn't be too hard since he didn't go out very much so even the mall was far from the condo to him.
There at the mall was a radio station. And as obnoxious as he can be, he still has “friends”, friends, FRIENDS! Okay, maybe a friend...and/or acquaintances. But they could help the time go by as he waits for his sister to stop crying over spilled soda.
“WHAT'S UP JU-” Bradley stopped in mid sentence when he saw another guy sitting in an overly, comfy office chair next to Juke.
The camera zooms in on the guy with light brown hair in a long quiff and a taper fade. He was in a gray hood with hot pink or red headphones around his neck. Juke and him would look like twins if Juke didn't have dirty blonde hair and if his quiff was longer, also minus his stubble. Was this the new style? The camera went to Bradley then back at the guy, before going back to Bradley.
“Who's that?”
“Oh, this is Lam!” Juke says grinning while pulling Lam close to them.
“Sam?” Bradley says blinking as Juke laughs.
“No dude, Lam.” Juke corrected him.
“Hey, nice to meet you.” Lam says putting his hand out for Bradley who glances at it then turns to Juke.
“When did you decide you wanted a partner?” Bradley mutters.
“I always been looking for one.” Juke says pushing his sunglasses up to his head with furrowed eyebrows.
“Well when I suggested to be your partner you said differently.” Bradley says glaring and Juke gets up from his seat.
“Oh, hm. Anyway, we're gonna go on air soon sooo-” Juke was interrupted by Bradley's phone ringing.
Bradley groaned to himself and saw his sister was calling. He turned away from the two and answered it. “He-”
“Did you steal my car?! Why are you such an asshole?! I don't even know why-” Valery yelled on the other end.
“See you soon, bye.” Bradley interrupted her and hung up, then turned around to look at Juke. “What about going on air again?”
“You should get going home dude.” Juke says walking over to Bradley smiling and walked him to the door. “Come again.” he says after getting Bradley out of the radio station.
