1932 – A secret organization linked to the world power designed a chemical weapon to dominate humanity. This weapon is a highly-advanced chemical that only affects humans. Though this organization is linked to the world power, it operates on a highly-secured and secluded area and even these world power who financially supports their operations cannot easily access their information.

1933 – The success of the chemical weapon made the underground world a dangerous place. One who holds the formula for this weapon holds the supremacy. The scientist who developed the formula became a powerful individual in the shadows. Months later, he was killed and the formula was kept hidden.

1940 – An unknown figure arised with the secret of the chemical weapon. 7 years after the supremacy of this underground leader, he commanded a group scientists and researchers to develop the weapon into a radiating material – a weapon in a form of a nuclear war machine for the sole purpose of invasion and uniting the entire world into one under his rule.

1941 – When the machine was about to be finished, a secret group of people sabotaged the operation. Concentrating about the machine over than the consequences, the group initiated the explosion of the machine. With no further information about the state of the machine, the group who sabotaged the operation accidentally caused an outbreak- a hyper-advanced nuclear radiation. This instigated the revelation of the underground world and the organization to the public.

1945 – 4 years after the explosion, about 60% of the world population has already died, including the animals and plants. Those who got infected by the outbreak started to show superhuman abilities but was observed to catch disease and die earlier. Some of these surviving people who has been influenced by the outbreak has turned into ghoul-like creatures due to the uncontrolled radiation in the air. These creatures consume human or animal flesh. A bite or a saliva can cause the host to be infected.

1948 – The thinning of the human population continues and so, the surviving humans decided to work with one another to cure the disease. Out of fear, some of the surviving humans decided to hide. Some decided to kill the infected humans.

1959 – Through the surviving human’s continuous work and collaboration, the cure for the disease has been developed. The cure has successfully conquered the population of the ghoul-like humans.

1962 – Out of greed and mistrust, the people waged a war against one another. The human survivors that showed superhuman abilities were used as a weapon. Many lives were sacrificed and some even resorted in infecting others with ghoul disease, giving them a reason to kill their enemies.

1964 – The war continued and the number of superhumans depleted and having them as an ally is considered as a wealth. While some people use them as weapons, some has worshiped them as living gods.

1970 – Superhumans are officially declared extinct, the world government did all their best to find more of them but has failed.

1980 – A mysterious explosion destroyed all government facilities which has the data and all the technology for the ghouls and superhumans from the past. News report says that many people within the facility claims that a superhuman did this event and thus, providing a theory that questions about the existence of superhumans. This event gave the people a new name for this superhumans: The Neo-gens, short for New Generation of humans: possibly an evolved and stronger version of the past. Aligned with that theory caused a panic about the ghouls; if the Superhumans could survive from the past, so can Ghouls. If Superhumans have evolved, then so the Ghouls too, theoretically. This event changed the current Era – which is now called ‘NE’, a shorter term for Neo-gen era.

50 Years after the dawn of the Neogen Era, the common people has started to forget what’s in the past – for some of them have died, and some of them had fled in the darkness….
