My memory started with me sitting in the woods. My whole body is in pain and I don’t know why. I frisked my entire body and I knew that I was in a bad shape. I can smell the blood coming out of my forehead and I feel the throbbing pain in my whole body. I don’t know how or why but I am on a sort of a huge, white tattered shirt. My eyes started to close, not listening to my body anymore so I started walking and tried to keep my senses up. As I took my first steps, I heard a groan. The groan is somewhat human-like and it gets stronger by the passing second. I got scared. I looked around and saw two large guys following me. They walked limping but they are fast. It seemed that they are following me so I had to do my best to run. I looked back and forth to my back and front to see the odds of me escaping them after a few paces, I saw an open space with three teenagers walking – one girl and two boys, all of which looks like of my age. I tried to call for their help but no sound came off my mouth.
I saw a huge tree near them so I opted to hide. At this point, all I know is that I should keep my senses on and I don’t want to faint. Before I ducked for cover I looked around and saw the two large men following me passed by and went straight to the teenagers. All I felt was sorry for them as I did not mean to put them in demise. My sight started to blur and the last thing I saw was one of the men charging through the teenagers.
--
I woke up from a strong scream coming from a lady and looked for the teenagers. They seem unharmed so I did my best to stand up so I can ask for their help. I saw them arguing for a while but no, I must come to them.
Finally, I got out of the woods and all of them looked at me and by the looks on their faces, them seem to be ready to attack me. I tried to talk again to ask for their help but suddenly, my world turned dark.
--
I woke up and opened my eyes. I figured that I was on a bed. My body aches and I can’t smell the scent of blood anymore. I tried to move my body but the pain kicks in in the slightest movement. I moved my eye around the room and saw three people – one lady with a braided, violet hair and glasses, and two men, one has a blonde hair and the other one had a deep brown hair. The lady saw me first and told the men that I was already awake. They stopped talking and went to me. The lady went beside me while the two men stayed on the other side of the bed.
“She looks terrible. Are you sure this girl is not like those two from last night?” The lady spoke.
“Obviously, she is not one of them. I’m not sure how this girl ended here but I’m sure that she is a Psychic Neogen.” The man with brown hair answered.
“Why don’t we ask her? I think we are being impolite for talking like that in front of her” the blonde man said. The three of them looked at me and eyed each other, possibly wondering who should ask first.
Before the two guys were able to speak, the lady started “I am Sif. The blonde guy’s Arthur and the other one is Trent”. I looked at them and as much as I wanted to speak, I didn’t know where to start.
“We, uh, we brought you here in our infirmary from last night’s incident. Do you remember what happened? I was not physically there but Trent told me everything. By the way, Trent is our Leade-“
“Ring Master.” Trent interrupted Sif. “We are in the circus and I am the ones who handle everything. We got you here from last night and we would like to know what happened to you” he added.
I tried to sit but the pain almost killed me. To my surprise, the first word that came out of my mouth was “Thank you, can you help me sit?” while looking at Sif.
“Sure, and I can help you with the pain too.” Sif answered, as if knowing what bothers me. Trent and Arthur helped me sit on my bed as Sif simply touched my hand. I felt nothing, as if I had no injuries or so.
“How did –” I asked her.
“I can influence anyone’s senses. Right now, I am relieving your sensory nerves from pain.” Sif answered. She seemed like a serious person, but I don’t want to judge.
I looked around their concerned faces and I figured that I must say something, at least in any possible way. They seemed trustworthy and I am glad that they still took me even if I got those monsters to them last night.
“Aria”. I started. “I am…Aria, and that’s all I know. I don’t remember a thing except that I was running last night from the two large, and seemingly different men.”
“She’s telling the truth” Sif said while looking at Arthur and Trent. I felt Sif’s grip tightened but it was tolerable so I let it as is.
“C…Can I know how are you—” I looked at Sif.
“I can detect lies by touch. Anything else?” Sif answered, seemingly irritated by my questions.
“I…I…Uh…Th…Thank you for this. But I don’t really know anything.” I said.
“It’s okay. For the meantime, we’ll have Sif with you while we start moving. Are you hungry?” Trent asked. I slowly nodded. Trent smiled and looked at Sif, who seemed to get what Trent wants to say. Without batting an eye, she turned to her back and walked out of the room.
Arthur smiled at me too and looked at Trent. “So, Trent, what do we do with her” he asked.
“Would you like to stay with us or do you have anything to do?” Trent asked me.
“I…I don’t know”
“Okay then, you’re staying” Trent smiled and went out of the room with Arthur.

After a few minutes, Sif came in with a tray on her hand. The tray was full of food and she had a company at her back – A small girl with a face that reminded me of a pixie. While Sif arranged the food on my bed, the pixie-girl smiled at me and said “Hi Aria, I am Althea. I saw you coming but not in this kind of event. I’m sorry for that”
“Saw how?” I asked. My mind starts to get confused about the people who can do these kind of ‘stuff’ like this girl who already knows my name.
“Oh, sorry. I am a Psychic too, and I see the future” Althea answered. Her tone seemed to be friendlier that Sif. I started eating as Sif handed me the tray.
“The new girl’s got her memory lost. We have no clue what she did with it or where it came” Sif told Althea.
“I see. That’s interesting. I wish I know how to get that back” Althea answered, her round eyes glimmered with whimsical wonder.
“Can you see how can I get it back?” I asked Althea, hoping her precognition can help.
“I’m sorry but I can’t. My gift does not work that way” Althea answered. “But we’ll think of something else. Right Sif?”
Sif just nodded, her lips are pursed.
