Furs have simple ways of greeting each other. If they meet someone wearing a Hyena Agenda jacket (or clothing that any fur would recognize) in the mall, they may say "hey, I like that jacket. I got a few Hyena Agenda shirts at home" or just smile and nod. In a convention, they hug each other since everyone is treated as family (you don't usually see anyone shake hands at a convention). 

Most furs have a love of EDM or Electric Dance Music. This music is typically played at raves which are parties with lots of lights, glowsticks, dancing, and lasers. Furs also enjoy dubstep (a harder version of EDM), chillstep (a softer version of EDM), and much more. Occasionally at conventions, a rave is held. In a dark room, music blasts from huge speakers and lights flash to the beat.

Howling, or better known as awooing, isn't very common, but it is a thing furs do. Usually taking place in a large room filled with 5 or more, furs loudly say "awooo" like a wolf pack (furs know they are not animals and don't want to be). This activity builds the sense of community because if you can't be weird with your friends, who can you be weird with?

Making an original character is a basic custom to the fandom. This character can have the personality of its creator or have traits the creator wishes they had. For example, a tall guy may make a fursona of a short beaver or a girl may make a male otter fursona. The fursona can be the creator's favorite animal or favorite color. It could be anything. Most furs have 1 or more fursonas, each highlighting a different part of the creator's personality.

Fursuit making is also a common custom. Every fur has tried to make a fursuit at least once in their lives. These suits can range from fairly awful to incredible depending on experience and practice. Some suits don't even have fur since it's not steadily available to the maker. Once I saw a person who had paper ears taped to a headband because that's the best they could do. 

The final custom is the classic use of owo, uwu, and :3. OwO is an emoticon that represents a cute blank stare. It can also be a face of curiosity. It's usually used when something is interesting or the user has no words to describe something. UwU is an emoticon that usually represents a blush or overwhelming embarrassment. :3 is a smiley of course.
