Hong Wei clenched his knives, ready to pounce like a tiger at Lui Sheng. Lui Sheng stood firm on the ground. The two were such colliding forces, one swift and cunning while the other strong and held weight.
Hong Wei could sense the overwhelming wall before him. He could understand why the people placed so much in Lui Sheng, it was like he could never fall over, the ultimate defense.
If Hong Wei wanted to win this he had to be decisive and act quick. After thinking that, he launched him, his legs repelling him, lightning fast towards Lui Sheng. Lui Sheng didn't react until Hong Wei was right in his face.
Lui Sheng could only step back. This shocked everyone, their Great Wall moved!
Lui Sheng didn't expect such an opponent. A wide grin appeared on his face. It's only natural the person he taken a liking to, would have a strong guard dog.
Lui Sheng lifted his huge sword, no longer underestimating his opponent and swang hard at Hong Wei. Hong Wei dodged by a hair strand, sliding under Lui Sheng.
Before Hong Wei could do anything under there, Lui Sheng grabbed his leg, earning him a kick from the other leg, with a grit he let go. Hong Wei took that moment to slash his knife Lui Sheng's leg.
Lui Sheng tumbled and fell, with no panic in his face, he quickly got back up or not, Hong Wei leapt on top of him, holding knife claws at Lui Sheng's neck, followed by a series of gasp from the crowd.
It was really close intimacy between the two, it didn't help when Hong Wei even leaned in so his face was in kissing distance with Lui Sheng. Lui Sheng couldn't help but admire the youth, his nose straight, a scar on his brows, thin lips, his eyes ever so emotionless.
Lui Sheng came back to reality when Hong Wei said directly to his face, "I win." Lui Sheng eyes wide open, glancing down at the knives at his neck but never leaving Hong Wei.
"Oh?" Lui Sheng knocked Hong Wei off him with an abrupt shake, rolling over on top of Hong Wei. "I don't think so." Lui Sheng held a teasing grin, returning the close head to head intimacy that Hong Wei did to him.
But, he was soon put to an abrupt stop to the feel of sharp objects on his crotch. Hong Wei had his knives on his...
Lui Sheng immediately got up. Hong Wei grabbed at the opportunity to attack which was then blocked by Lui Sheng's sword.
This continued with a series of slashes and grabs. One man holding his fort while the other acting like an aggressive tiger, breaking through the mountain, persistently climbing.
People watching quietened down at this point. They were really curious on Hong Wei's identity to be able to spar with Lui Sheng evenly. Who was a match to Lui Sheng?
Lui Sheng was most aware of his countless victories. He can confidently say he hasn't loss since he was thirteen. But now this man, was meeting his match.
Sounds of metal rang agaisnt each other. Both sides were tired. Clothes ripped apart and bits of cuts on their limbs. They were both roughed up.
After an hour, of constant offense and defense. They stopped fighting, breathing heavily on the hard soil of the town floor.
Lui sheng and Hong Wei was drenched in sweat.
"You're a fine opponent." Lui sheng breathed out. A huge smile on his face. It was worth it. It's been a long time since he found a good match.
"You too." It seemed after sparing they were able to come down to a consensus, it was bordering harmony.
"How about you join the military? It can be a huge help." Lui Sheng shamelessly tried to recruit a 2nd in command but as expected, He was shot down with a cold, "No."
"Is Kiran so special to you?"
"He is." Lui Sheng could spot a glint of happiness on Hong Wei's emotionless eyes at the mention of Kiran. It really roused interest in Lui Sheng too, he envied it. Following them might not be a loss afterall, thought Lui Sheng.
Hong Wei suddenly raised up from the ground, surprising Lui Sheng. Hong Wei scanned his eyes in the crowd, that have already dispersed. Hong Wei looked at Lui Sheng full of horror. His eyes pitched black then ever.
Kiran was missing.
