Happy Holidays, everybody!
I always find it weird that people choose to give to the Salvation Army instead of other better-focused cancer charities during Christmas simply because the former is a Christian organization. Stranger since they both serve the same thing - to help cancer victims.
Given so many religious charities have agendas outside of the cause they are serving, and like Salvation Army, have a history of controversial stances, you might feel more comfortable donating to secular groups.
Atheist Girl and FreeThoughtPedia have great lists of secular charities that you can help this coming holiday. Of course, if you can't donate to them, any reputable charity, regardless of religion, will help.
