Another chapter done...
Mia's perspective was very interesting for me to write. She's very protective and loyal to those closest to her. This last part was also hard to write...to get across the point of what she and Daniel endured without going over the top, while maintaining the effect that people can be massive dicklords.
Anyway, please look forward to the next chapter! I think what the next chapter will accomplish piggybacks off of this chapter quite well. :BB
I really like Mia. The way she's there for her friend and wants to make sure he won't be made fun or get hurt again just warms my heart.
Seems like all of them passed through some shit, huh? Homophobia, losing a parent and seeing the other give in to alcohol, bullied for not speaking and made fun of her voice... They all have their scars.
The way she looked at her own arm there, though, makes me really anxious and concerned. :c I hope she's really getting better. <3
(Autophobia: the fear of being alone)
Louis Beau is a perfectionist and anxiety-ridden eleventh-grader attending Roseborough High. He lives with his strict and somewhat neglectful father, and constantly tries to best himself to make his father proud. His life, however, runs off course when he befriends Daniel, his ostracized classmate, and the two soon find themselves in a secret love affair. Louis struggles with his sexuality, and his growing fondness of Daniel, all the while trying to gain the approval of his father, his peers, and ultimately, his self.
