🎵 It’s the Christmas time of year. 🎵
The melody rang through my empty house. How many times had I heard this song? All the happy memories of previous Christmases flooded through my mind, was this really the last time I was going to spend my Christmas? My life?
🎵 Filled with lots of love and cheer! 🎵
My house was torn up the last time I was downstairs, the tree knocked on the floor, lights flickering on and off, slowly dying, broken furniture everywhere! I quietly cried, digging my head into my chest to muffle the sound.
🎵 Let’s laugh and love in a jolly way. 🎵
I heard footsteps come up the stairs. I stopped crying and peeked through the crack in my closet door. I didn’t see anything yet, but I knew it was coming. I looked down at my red stained fur. It was once such a pretty lavender color, what happened?
🎵And be happy this holiday! 🎵
It came to my hiding spot and opened the door. I was too petrified to move. He grabbed me, his large red jacket shaking as he bent over. My mother walked into the room and took me from the man.
🎵 Dooooooo~ 🎵
“Let’s get you cleaned up, you’re covered in frosting.”
🎵Ooooooo~🎵
I remember now.
🎵 Oyah!~🎵
That man was supposed to be Santa Claus.
