“Yes. Kind of.”
“Whatever. It’s just that that guy seemed dangerous. So you may try to avoid him, if you ever see him again? For my peace at least,” the red-eyed said, full of worry, knowing how trouble would occur again.
“You’re worrying this much about me?” the blue-eyed said. Back again, not sunken anymore into his thoughts. With a little smile. “Sweet of you. Of course, by ‘lonely guy’ I didn’t mean innocent. He is a unstable person as he showed us.”
“Exactly. And indeed, I’m worried about you. Thinking about how you randomly started hugging me in the beginning, a total stranger… of course innocent and whole-hearted as I am there was no danger to expect. Still you may attract stranger danger more than you’d like.”
Chandler laughed. How much Timothy started to care filled him with joy, it was a lovely little moment for both of them.
“You’re just too much of a nice guy, Timothy,” Chandler said with a smile, but an concerned look. “That made things complicated for you, didn’t it? The kindest people tend to get exploited.”
“That’s probably the biggest understatement you could do about me. It was problematic, indeed.” He scratched his cheek, stared at the blue-eyed. He was thinking if he’d could get answers now, or if it’d be too soon as well. “You remind me of something. If illusion or not, doesn’t matter that much. You still owe me, right?”
“Right, I forgot,” the blue-eyed said. Wondering what he’d ask for. A simple question or a little favor? “What do you want?” he asked. And clearly… he remembered his promise despite what he said.
Timothy smiled and thought about it for a moment. His vicious look he gave him every now and then showed his possible intentions. Maybe. Chandler was a bit excited.
After some seconds, Timothy talked. He stared out of the window, it got totally dark by now. And it looked like the whole city was gone. “Do you want to come to my place tonight?” he asked.
The heart of the little one skipped a few beats. It kinda stopped, what he couldn’t explain himself. “Why?” he asked.
“Just to talk… I guess. It’s my request alright?” the red-eyed said.
“W-wait, now I remember!” the blue-eyed said, almost shouted it out from his relief. “You wanted me to talk about our first meeting… yeah… my grandpa and why I talked to you and such… Look I need to practice all the time and you have your job. So why don’t we just skip the sleepover and just talk a bit now? Then go home? So that we don’t disturb our habits, you know? Gotta stay in your circadian rhythm?” He was blushing.
“W-... what? You know, never mind. I changed my mind. That's all,” the red-eyed said. And he grinned. “So… you wouldn’t break a promise, would you?”
“No.”
“You don’t mind to stay a night at your friend`s home, would you?”
“No?”
“Then come. I put off my working clothes and we can go.”
“No…” the blue-eyed mumbled.
