School is out! Now Andrew can finally go do what he has wanted to do for a long time, Get a girlfriend!- Wait, sorry, wrong thing. He's nowhere near that. He can now go get his Velo book.
Andrews' mind was racing as he walked. What could be in that book!? I'll even take a healing spell because then I'd be able to just fight recklessly! I could take a match and start a fire killing my opponent while I heal. So many ideas went through his head. Now imagine if I actually got a cool spell!- Andrew cut himself off after spotting what seemed to be a person sitting against the wall outside a classroom.
Wait, is he crying? No the better word to describe that was bawling. It looked like the poor souls' life had been ruined. So he got closer to try and figure out if he knew the person. No way, Its Mister fake himself. Why would he be crying? Regy, as far as I know, is rich, not only that but he made straight A's every quarter. As much as Andrew didn't like the boy, he still was human. So, he started talking.
"Hey, Regy what happened?" Regy lifted his head up slowly, Andrew could see how red his eyes were from crying. "I have nowhere to go." He responded. Wait, is this kid serious? "What about your house?" "Um..." Regy hesitated "I don't have a house." ...No way. Andrew didn't believe him. " There's no way you're poor, just look at you." Regy looked confused "What do you mean just because I was given hair gel by a kind spirit doesn't mean I'm rich and have you ever seen me in anything but my school uniform?" To be honest no. "But your grades?" "Grades have nothing to do with your money." "Um... you hang out with so many people though." "Correct but only during school. I don't have enough money to go hang out with "The squad" anywhere else." Wow was I wrong? "Well, then where do you live?" "On campus or on a sidewalk." I never thought I would feel bad for Regy. "How do you stay motivated to do good in school?" "Because my life out here is so bad I try to make my life in there a lot better. Regy pointed to their class. And now that school is out I have nothing." He wanted to ask about Regys' parents but he didn't.
Andrew didn't know what to think. this kid he had known since kindergarten he just now found out was poor and homeless. So all the reasons he thought everyone liked him were wrong. Regy was really just a good person. Andrew never tried talking to him though because certain kids that were bad hung out with him. So that always told Andrew that this kid must have another side he didn't know about after school. But he was wrong, and because he didn't try and converse with Regy for all this time, he had missed out on a possible good friend.
This is a lesson dear reader. So please, listen Never throw someone out of the picture whether they seem weird, fake, or mean until you actually take the time to talk with them. Because that kid could be your best friend and you would never know.
