WAIT...I Lived, yes! Andrew threw one hand into the air in victory, while the other tightly held his eye. "Aha!" He then heard the grass crunching behind him. The boy turned to see Jake sprinting over to him, sweat poured from his head, his hair was a complete mess.
"Andrew!" He yelled out with relief in his voice. "Are you ok!?" Andrew removed his hand from the destroyed eye. "Damnit, Andrew! When will you stop being so arrogant!" Andrew looked surprised that Jake was mad. "Jake, I'm alive. why are you speaking so angrily to me?" "Because it looks like you almost didn't win, and if you lost I'm sure you would be dead. I don't care if you're a God among men you will not leave your team to go fight alone!" Jake spoke like a rampaging lion ripping away at Andrews faults. "Well!,...Um...!" He constantly tried looking for excuses, but he couldn't actually find one. He was stuck with a justifiably angry friend.
"I want you to know I am very angry and am thinking of kicking you out the group, but, I know mistakes can be made." "I'll tell you my decision tomorrow morning at what used to be the school, But I can't guarantee you anything because you now have Rose furious at you. Andrew sat there silent, looking down and avoiding eye contact. If nothing else I hope you learn from this Andrew, Stop being so damn cocky or you'll push away every possible friend you meet. Go back home yourself because Rose did over all this, and I will always respect Rose more than you." So to avoid this awkward situation Andrew immediately started with a thirty-minute walk to think about what Jake and Noah had said.
Was I really wrong doing that? No... I should've beat that knight guy, It wasn't my fault Jake had to get worried, it was the books! Why didn't that thing work?
Dear reader, did you notice something in that last part? Andrew was thinking of more excuses. The fact is Andrew wasn't considering his "friends" when he ran off, he was thinking about their faces when he brought back a corpse all by himself. So he wasn't considering his friends and was being too confident. That is a bad combination, but not for him, for his fellow team. How would you like it if you had a third of your team run off into battle with no warning leaving you behind? Oh, and they didn't even win. Yeah, that would be annoying. Andrew was for a second questioning his action but, it is all too true that people don't change in the blink of an eye. Andrew will struggle with this issue again and again until maybe he realizes how reckless he is.
