Demonic Control Unit Air Field

A huge gray cargo plane stand-by on the airstrip loading DCU infantry and DCU specialists.

Voren stood there silently watch soldiers and supplies being loaded.

"It's a C-17 Globemaster III," Anna said smiling as she came out of nowhere.
"My big brother used to fly them when he was in the air force".

Anna had a ferret on her shoulder that she receives from DCU command as a companion. She named him Dice.

"Used to?" Voren asked curiously.

Anna looked down as her expression change to a sad smile.
"My mom told me he was killed when this all started. Day 0"

"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have asked" Voren apologized as he felt bad for asking.

Anna smiled and laughed softly. "oh no...It's all right Voren, He died before I was born so it wasn't like I knew him."

Voren returns a smile and nodded.  

 Voren and Annie both headed to the plane to report in. They checked in with the flight officer and took their seats along with the rest of the units that heading to the East Front.

Transit flight between Alaska to New York (Eastern Front)

Nine hours into the flight.

The plane pilot reported smoke on the horizon. Winged creatures can be seen above the smoke.
"All hands stand by! Smoke slighted at the East Front Operation Base!"

A Lieutenant got out of his seat and ordered his DCU unit to load their weapon and prep for combat in case they land in a hot zone.

Anna drew her Beretta M-9 as Voren gripped his sword.
