But what the world didn't know was the with the monsters, a odorless, tasteless, and colorless gas was also unleash into the air. The gas seem to be harmless at first until a child was born was special power from a female whom survived day 0.

It was later discovered that the gas seem granted unique special, sometime odd powers to 15% of the children of women who were affect by the gas.

They were later to be labeled as class X.

Some of those special children will later join the DCU as special operatives.
