Fort Lockhart
0400 hours.

Voren had just left his barrack as he about to report his new unit when he spotted Megumin pass by. Voren rises his arm as he about to call out to greet her when he noticed two other DCU operatives with her. He placed his arm back down as he decided not to.

Megumin was returning from a mission when he spotted Voren at the corner of her eyes near the male barracks. She laughed softly to herself as she saw Voren rising his arm up before lowering it.

"I will catch up later. You guys can go on ahead" she said to her squad before running off and called out to Voren as she ran toward him.

Voren saw Megumin heading toward him and he stood at attention and saluted her when she got to him. "Sgt.Sugihara ma'am! Good morning" he said panicky.  

Megumin laughing as she shook her head. She reached for his hand and lower it to his side. "You don't salute me Pvt.Asher. You only salute officer" she said smiling.

"Oh..right. My mistake" Voren said as his face turn red from embarrassment.

Voren looked down in ashamed where he noticed Megumin shoes and sock. He begins to look back up as he took a good look at her and shocked to find Megumin uniform was covered in spots of blood and few tears that he didn't notice till now. 

Megumin noticed Voren eyes examining her and laughed nervously.
"I know I am a mess. I just returned from a night mission."

"Oh, I see," Voren said as he returns a smiled. 

"But don't worry. These are not my blood. It's the enemies" Megumin said giggling with an uncomfortable smile. 

Voren started to feel uncomfortable and scared of Megumin. "Umm...Sgt.Sugihara ma'am. I actually have to report to my unit soon" Voren said interrupting her.

Megumin snapped out of it as her expression went back to normal.
"Oh right. Of course. Carry on Pvt.Asher." Megumin said sweetly and smiled.

Voren nodded and took off.
"I wonder if all Class 0 are scary like her," He thought to himself.

When Voren reached his new unit tent there were 2 DCU operatives hanging outside. They seem to be talking and joking around but stopped when they noticed Voren.

"Well...you must be Voren Asher right?" One of the operatives asked.

Voren nodded and nervously gulped.

The operative smiled with a grin and held out his hand.
"PFC. Thomas Sander. Class 2nd operative.Nice to meet ya Voren".

"You too Thomas" Voren said as he let out a sigh of relieve and took Thomas hand and shook it.

"And I'm Corporal Henry Stone. Operative 1st class" The second operative said as he joined in to introduce himself.

"Nice to meet you as well Corporal Stone," Voren said walking over to shake his hand as well.

Voren met three other operatives as they begin to arrive and ten regular DCU troopers. Once the introduction was out of the way, Voren spends some time getting to know his new ally until it was time to line up. Voren was standing in the first rank as they fall in.

The squad leader soon stepped out of the tent and called everyone to attention. "Alright boys and girls, as you know we lost Corporal Anderson a few weeks ago. May he rest in peace. So today we got Pvt. Asher to take his place. Treat your new little brother well".

"Yes, Sergeant!" The squad shouted.

The Sergeant then walks over to Voren.
"Welcome to your new family boy. The Black Bull" he said before slapping the unit patch on his arm.

The rest of the squad begin to moo loudly and cheered.
