After meeting with the general, West store the metal in his coat pocket and left. He exits the HQ where one of his men waiting for him.
"Sir, we are ready," the soldier said in a soft sadden tone.
West nodded and he begins to walk to the fort square with the soldier behind him.
At the square DCU troops and operatives were lined up. West walked over to his Rangers unit and the soldier went to fall in with his company.
The soldiers all went to attention.
The horns and instruments soon begin to play as the flags bearers of all the others units lower their flag. One by one the honor guards begin to bring the fallen soldiers in.
As the coffins pass the troops, they saluted.
When the coffins reach Voren and his unit, some lost the will to stand and fell to their knee as it impact them the most. Thomas begins to cry as he saw Henry coffin being carried in.
Voren throat went dry and he had a hard time breathing. It took all he had from not collapsing.
When the last coffins reached the graveyard the commanding officers' orders their unit to face the fallen brothers and sisters and gave a last final salute.
"Duty before life," Voren said softly before lowering his head.
"Thank you for your service, We'll get it from here," Col. Raven said to his dead troops.
Colonel Raven was the 6th Scout Corp regiment commander. This was the first time Voren got to see his unit officer.
"Honor guards ! 21.....Gun Salute!"
Seven DCU troops with blanks gave a 21 gun salute as they each fire three shots.
