Voren was running back to the rest of his unit with Thomas and Henry. The cries and yells of the incoming creatures were getting louder and closer.
They were about 4 blocks away till they reach Black Bulls defense perimeter when the 3rd floors windows of a nearby building busted where three wolves-like creatures. The wolves landed and blocked their path.
"I got this!" Voren said as he charges at the nearest one.
The wolf bares his fangs as it charges toward Voren as Voren ran toward it.
As the wolf got close, Voren attempt to uppercut it with his sword but missed as the wolf jumped back.
The wolf let out a dark spiral energy ball and shot it at Veron. He used his sword to block the attack as it pushes him few feet away.
As Voren got the attention of the pack leader, Henry and Thomas fixed their gun on the remaining two wolves and opened fire. The shots hit the wolves as they begin to yelped in pain. The yelp drew the leader attention as it heard and saw his pack being gunned down.
Voren saw the opening and dashed to the leader slicing its head clear off.
"No time to rest guys! We need to hurry"Voren shouted.
Thomas and Henry nodded as they all continued to the camp.

Meanwhile, at the Black Bulls camp, the defense perimeter was ready. Sandbags were set up with DCU members armed with guns in position.
Sgt.Hoover was on the radio Lockhart trying to get reinforcement or air support when one of the soldier shouted that Voren and the others are back.
Sgy.Hoover rushed over to them where he finds Voren, Thomas, and Henry on the ground sweating and out of breath.
"Good job getting back here safely boys. What is the status of the enemies?" Hoover asked.
"They're....still coming sir. 100 of them...from the North East" Henry said between catching his breath.
Sgt.Hoover looked toward the North East of town.
"Alright squad, we must hold here. We stand no chance of running so it is better to be ready here and fight back".
"But sir! there is only 20 of us. We stand no chance against 100 of them" a worried DCU trooper said voicing his conscious.
"We just need to hold until reinforcement arrives!" Hoover replied.
"We can hold them off together...I won't lie to you. Not all of us will make it out. But if you fight you might give your brothers and sisters a chance."Hoover continued trying to rally his squad.
"So today...don't just worried about yourself. Don't only fight for yourself but fight for the men/women next to you! Cause I will surely going to."
Some of the troops still felt worried but they were willing to fight with Hoover.

It wasn't before long before the enemies reached them. There were 100 of humanoid-like creatures. They seem to be marching with a bigger humanoid (Titan) leading them. They all stood out the range of the DCU camp lining up behind the leader. The Titan took a good look at the camp and its defense before raising his arms and roar loudly. The 100 humanoids joined in on the roar as they charged the camp.
Sgt.Hoover was standing at the sandbag wall with his men. When they first creatures got in range of the camp, he ordered his men to fire.
Guns went off as they gun down as much as enemies as possible.
The Titan started to give orders as well by roaring and crying out different kinds of grunts and sound.
Some of the humanoids reached out their arms which extended across the field into some of the DCU troops, stabbing them in the neck or face where they are not protected by armors.
Voren was in charge of protecting the camp communication tent as the radio operator continue to call for help. The ruin of the city is costing interference to the long distance transmission.
